    Our starting rotation is ridiculously good. Our offense literally just needs to be average and we’ll take the division.

    Arizona has a terrible record but actually has some nice players on offense (Marte, Kelly, Escobar, Smith, etc). The problem is obviously their pitching so hopefully we can consistently score some runs over these four games.

    Derek freakin Holland. There’s just no way we can win an offensive shootout. Five runs is about as many this offense can muster.

    With this offense, I think it’s safe to find something else to do tonight. There’s no way they’re scoring 6+ runs.

    Other than Jose Ramirez, are there any elite 3B that you would be willing to give up the farm for (that are realistic of course)?

    The Brewers getting shut out against the Tigers in a bullpen game is about as predictable as it gets.

    Looks like Detroit’s offense is just as bad as ours. Hopefully we can take advantage with Burnes and Houser going in this series.

    Yeah this is where the game gets really scary at this point - when our starter is done after the 6th or before and it’s a tight game.

    Woodruff not even all that sharp right now and he already has 4 strikeouts. Wow.

    1B I’d target on teams that might not be in contention come July: Jared Walsh (Angels) Pavin Smith (Dbacks) Jesus Aguilar (Marlins) Carlos Santana (Royals) Walsh and Smith are probably a little more unrealistic targets but I’d be more than happy with Aguilar or Santana, who I wanted the Brewers to sign in the offseason.

    We have a bunch of games at home against crappy teams the next couple of weeks. This is when we make our move!

    How much would that suck to be a Pirates fan? They keep letting these guys go for nothing and they go on to be stars for their new teams.

    I feel like we say this every night now but the home plate umpire is not having a good night.

    Terrible decision by Narvaez there but Burnes got himself in this mess with the two freebies to the bottom of the order.

    What if we went all in on the starting rotation and acquired an elite starter to go with Burnes, Woodruff and Freddy? With a starting rotation like that all we’d need is our offense to be very average which I’m confident they could be when completely healthy. Not sure we’d have the assets to acquire somebody like that but it’s fun to think about.
