    The Braves might be close enough that they wouldn’t sell, but yeah Freeman would be the perfect acquisition. Let’s hope they lose a bunch of games over the next few days and decide to sell.

    I know we need a bat but Nationals are considering selling and putting Scherzer on the market. I think it would make sense with the Brewers trying to limit innings for our current starters. Stretch out the rotation and make it even more formidable. Wonder what the cost would be to acquire him (and I know he would have to waive his NTC).

    Epic pitching matchup. We have struggled against just average lefty starters so going against Rodon is going to be a tall task. Wish I were going to the game!

    Just throw Hiura nothing but fastballs right down the middle and you’ll be just fine.

    I don’t know about that. I think a combination of guys like Mitchell, Turang, Small and Ashby could get us a pretty nice player.

    Holy smokes! Seems like a lot to me but is probably what it will take. Question- for that same package of players, would you rather acquire Mancini?

    The Royals have scored about the 5th fewest runs in all of baseball but their top 4 in the lineup is not bad at all. Here's hoping for an epic sports day in Milwaukee!

    Yeah our lineup looks a lot better with Narvaez and Peterson in there over Pina and Hiura but hopefully we can put up some runs against a pretty crappy pitcher.

    Who knows, maybe the Indians would value a low-level guy like Eduardo Garcia pretty highly and would accept a Mitchell, Ashby/Small, Feliciano and Garcia package for Ramirez. That being said, I'd rather focus on getting an elite 1B or starting pitcher for that matter if we're going to spend that type of prospect capital. I really like what Urias is doing at 3B.

    The Angels desperately need pitching and we need a long-term solution at 1B. I wonder if we could work out a trade for Jared Walsh where Small or Ashby is the headliner on our end?

    I'll admit I've been critical of Stearns lately for his evaluation of offensive talent but my God what a trade for Adames. Absolutely turned the season around.

    I’m convinced I’ve lost a couple years off my life watching these last few series against the Reds. Umps are a major reason why.

    Trying to remain optimistic here but man it's hard to see us scoring enough runs this weekend to win the series. Hopefully the break did them some good and we start hitting again.

    Would Turang and Ashby/Small get it done? I would obviously be all over a Freeman deal, even if it’s just for a couple months. Braves are only 4 games back of first place though so would be surprised if they were sellers.
