I really like the 3 players that we got but when you compare them to what the Yankees got for Miller, I just don't know. Still a full day left to trade our relievers/Guera for pitching though.
A little off topic, but do these spring training games ever sell out? I will be attending my first ST game on March 25 in Maryvale and not sure if I should buy tickets now or if I can wait until we get to the stadium.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe Jimmy Nelson made about 10 starts last year in Huntsville. I wonder when he gets the bump to Nashville. Fantastic outing tonight.
Remember when the Pirates were really pathetic and they would have never come back to take the lead in this game? I miss those days already. Still have two innings to come back but two out of three isn't bad I guess.
11 days in between starts to "recharge his batteries" is very strange. There almost has to be something else going on like a trade in the works or injury.
Other than the obvious moves like trading Greinke and K-Rod, I'd like to trade Morgan for whatever we can get and see what Logan Schafer can do for the rest of the year in CF.
I'm not saying Bianchi should sit. I would love for him to start almost every game, but the Brewers MO the past few years is to play the veterans over the young guys, no matter how terrible that veteran might be.
I've been noticing a theme with Burgos (and some of our other pitchers) only throwing about 80 pitches per game, even when pitching a great game. Is that just the norm for most pitchers in the minor leagues or is it a Brewers philosophy?
Watching the Futures Game has me wondering what the top minor league systems would be as of right now. I know a lot about the Brewers system, but not a whole lot about the other teams. I think it would be cool if people could write up their top 5 or 10 systems including some of the top prospects in each system.
