Not to be a downer on Sarfate's nice start tonight, but he still has to get his walks way down. He nearly has as many walks as strikeouts on the year. Does this kind of statistic warrant a call-up to the majors? I wouldnt think so.
Here's hoping to Rogers having another solid outing. Cant wait to see what he does tonight. It will also be interesting to see if Eveland continues to dominate AAA hitters.
Good to see Nashville in 1st and Brevard County and WV right near the top. On a side note, anybody know when Nashville's new stadium will begin being built?
Salome now batting .317 with 6 homeruns and 41 rbi's. Mat Gamel with 3 errors tonight and 21 on the season. Also nice to see Gwynn continue to hit well.
Huntsville should be exciting to watch next year with Braun, Salome, Irabarren, Fermaint, and Gamel all possibly moving up. Not to mention the pitching they'll have with Inman, Gallardo, Wahpepah, etc. I might have to make a road trip next year.
Maybe a little off topic here, but what are your thoughts on Inman and Gallardo? Do you see them staying put this year and both starting in Huntsville beginning of next season? That would make for an interesting 1-2 punch for the Stars next year.
I guess you can really tell the difference between AAA and the big leagues. Dana dominated AAA hitters but cant get anybody out in the big leauges. You have to be that much better.
Just got home from the game and it was easily one of the most electric games I've ever been to at Miller Park. That 8th inning was incredible. I thought the roof was gonna fly off after Miller's homerun. It was a loss, but it was great to see Milwaukee so excited about baseball again.
