  1. Jack Taschner. He'd be a decent addition as well.
  2. No thanks on Rowand. He had one good year two years ago, and recently has struggled worse than Mench, and in a hitter park.
  3. Brad Hennessey in my eyes would be a an ok trade. Allows us to maybe make another move with one of our other pitchers! Hennessey will be serviceable! I don't think I agree with that. His ERA was nice at 4.26, but his FIP was an awful 5.50. His K/BB ratio was also awful at 1.00. I'd rather have Kevin Correia. He didn't start any games last year, but he had started 11 the year before. This year out of the pen he posted a 3.49 ERA with a 3.57 FIP and a 2.59 K/BB ratio.
  4. Steve, what is this quote in your sig in reference to? "Man. What is it about these Brewers?" - BelmontShore of Philaphans.com
  5. Matt Cain ain't going anywhere. Think Kevin Correia or Brad Hennessey. (Correia has been pitching out of the pen, but he can start.)
  6. Though he handles it well, he has stated in the past he prefers LF.
  7. Fstorm has me pegged... (Though I'm rooting for him to develop!)
  8. i have a feeling they are the same type of player. I think I've spotted the problem. Gwynn will never ever have the type of power Baldelli has. Gwynn would be lucky to slug over .400, which is why many here feel he will never be an effective starter. (Very low slugging also effects other aspects such as a pitchers willingness to throw strikes and thus resulting in less walks, further lowering Gwynn's contributions.)
  9. Now where do we turn? EDIT: I'm really beginning to think we should dump Mench, Clark, and maybe add a prospect to somehow bring in a marginal starter (hopefully young with upside who has yet to fully establish). Then trade Graffy for a RH outfielder to platoon with Jenkins and be over with it. Jenkins - Hall - Hart - RH - Gross
  10. Geoff Jenkins, Tony Gwynn/Brady Clark, Zach Jackson for Jason Jennings and Brad Hawpe
  11. Where was Lieber's name ever mentioned?
  12. Nice to see the interest in Lofton. It's okay. It seems really nice because last week it was Dave Roberts and Juan Pierre. I really don't want Lofton that much either, I'd just prefer him to the other two.
  13. Jenkins for Benson + a Melvin nugget minor leaguer. I'm on board.
  14. Thanks Toby. It was the Power 50 that first brought me to the site.
  15. That is, unless he's a Brewer GM! Though so far, so good...
  16. I'd make that deal. Then dump Jenkins/Mench/Clark/maybe Miller for pitching and more pitching.
  17. So when is this big announcement coming?
  18. Kinda sounds like collusion, but I could see how Melvin and Towers could have discussed this. Would something like this be ethical? Basically they are screwing Graffy out of a year and a couple million dollars. I can't decide if this would be just the way things work or whether or not it could be something that would give Milwaukee management a poor reputation with dealing with its own players.
  19. This is why you don't rush prospects... Well, he was rookie of the year, so I'd say he was probably ready to play in the bigs, not rushed.
  20. If he was a lefty I'd have more interest. We could use another one for the pen.
  21. Quick question... How do you pronounce "Angel Salome"? Ahn-HEL or AIN-gel? sa-LOME or SAH-lo-me?
  22. I would think Gallardo and Braun would push top 25. Inman should be in somewhere too, but as to where I don't know. Probably lower at Baseball America, because they put a premium on tools, and often look the other way on preformance. Inman doesn't seem to excite scouts based on his hieght and whatnot. Those three are probably the only ones that would make a top 100 list though. It'd be interesting to see who they rank higher this year, Inman or Rogers. It'd almost have to be Inman, though BA loves Rogers.
  23. I think any trade for Wells would be an awful idea. One good year. Two bad years. One good year. I wouldn't bank on him continuing last years high preformance next year, and that is the only year we would have him as well. I don't want to trade 4+ years of Hardy and more for that.
  24. Boston makes too much sense. Melvin won't even call them. I'd love to get Pena in Milwaukee just to see how many arguments take place on this board over strikeouts.
  25. Sam's Power Ten 1. Yo Gallardo 2. Ryan Braun - Defensive deficiencies prevent him from holding the top spot. 3. Will Inman 4. Zach Jackson - Better pitchers in the system, but he's the closest to Milwaukee 5. Angel Salome 6. Manny Parra 7. Cole Gillespie 8. Tim Dillard - Whatever he's doing, its working. Deserves more respect than he gets. 9. Mark Rogers - It's time we see some results. 10. Jeremy Jeffress EDIT: Dillard down two from 6 to 8.
