    I'll be happy with a series split. Its more important to avoid the losing streaks, IMO, rather than to get the sweeps.

    I agree Valpo. A very solid pitching prospect plus something good we can use now, preferrably with under 4 years of service time, would make a decent package.

    Unfortunately, the Brewers are asking for too much according to Juan C. Rodriguez's source. They want "something big" for him. "Something big" probably equals "something fair", but it turns into something "big" because teams know he wants out.

    If we ever trade Sheets, we better get the world back. Not one of these balanced, good trade for both teams type deal. I want Vladdy, Joe Mauer, Felix Hernandez, Tony LaRussa, and Erin Andrews. If Santana leaves Minnesota and Sheets leaves Milwaukee, I will cry.

    And Sheets better get the win because I missed a start yesterday in fantasy, and I'm tied in Ws and down by one in K's. He doesn't have any pitchers going, just one reliever, IIRC. Other pitchers got PPDed. If I wouldn't have missed that start I'd be up in those two categories right now, Sheets has to come through for me...

    what's the latest? Just assuming capellan is here for the time being and nothing is really being done. I don't think he's going anywhere. If his agent doesn't shut his mouth to the media, nobody is going to offer us anything that would actually motivate us to move him.

    I would not want to give up Hart to get Cordero. And Reed, why don't you ask the guy that picked him up? He already has him, there shouldn't be any reason for him to withhold any info from you.

    The red sox are in trouble and we can get manny cheaply right now. But the Red Sox would not be getting better by trading Manny for Mench and Turnbow. It'd take a hell of a lot from us to make them a better team after losing Ramirez. The reason they could trade Manny would be for salary relief or if he became such a clubhouse cancer it hurts the team. At this point, I don't see any way the Sox trade Manny.

    Sorry, not Brewer related.... In my historical-fiction OOTP league, my team just won the honor of becoming the "Black Sox". I had won 4 out of 5 pennants, and the last two World Series prior to "throwing" the '19 postseason. From 1917, the odds of becoming the Black Sox went up for each succesive WS loser. I just lost 8 of my best players and my dynasty just as we finally are leaving the deadball era......Grrrrr.......http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
