  1. Is it enough to push you off the board and/or internet? Not even close...I will wait until next Monday..but if this is his only move, I guarantee you I'm out. What a joke. You don't have to wait until next Monday, don't let the door hit your derriere on the way out.
  2. Explains why teams before us didn't agree to an underslot deal. Not much of a savings at all. It looks like the bonuses have come out from 1, 4, 5, 7, 8, and 9 and has come in at $494,500 under slot. 2 and 10 have signed, but haven't seen $ figures for either of those 2 signings yet. Still, that leaves 1b, 2, 3, 6, and 10 with a pretty sizable amount available under slot, and that doesn't even factor in the 5% teams can go over. Hopefully Lutz doesn't eat up too much of the available pot. If I remember correctly and teams can go 5% over, that's an additional 522,385 they can play with. I'm guessing with both Harrison and Hairston being college picks, they shouldn't command much, if any, over slot. Hopefully the Crew is able to play with that ~$1m for all those HS players drafted between the 11th and 20th rounds.
  3. According to MLB.com they can offer up to $125,000 to players taken after the 10th round without it counting against the bonus pool. Anything beyond $125K will go against the overall bonus pool as you mentioned. Thanks for the update! It must have been updated this year, because I swear it was $100,000 last year. That certainly helps entice some of these guys, hopefully.
  4. Huge huge huge fan of what they're doing on Day 3. Offer 100k to each of these guys and see if they sign. Once they have everyone in the top 10 rounds signed up, can see if they are still underslot at all, then can offer any of these guys more than 100k if that's what it takes. If they feel comfortable with the current crop of "filler" players in the minors, then why not go upside with these picks? There are always UDFA's to sign to fill out any slots in Arizona or Helena if needed.
  5. Looks like mlb network let the pick slip early. Looks like it's Hiura?
  6. This is the exact reason they need to get the AAA team out of Colorado Springs ASAP. He wasn't able to properly develop there, how can you analyze a starting pitcher in those conditions? I feel like the MLB bullpen is his best development opportunity right now to become a MLB starter. Hopefully they allow him to go a couple of innings, and he learns how to throw strikes and attack hitters in 2 inning stints. Maybe this also allows Wily to go 1 IP outings instead of trying to have him keep going multiple innings.
  7. what a joke, the game never stopped, how do you all of a sudden go back and put guys on 2nd and 3rd, when the LF continued with the play? ABSOLUTE JOKE
  8. It sounds as though the Patriots might flip Malcom Bulter to the Saints in return for their original #32 overall pick. I feel like the best value the Packers could get for #29 would be to pick up Butler. I'm pretty sure they're still enough under the cap, they could fit him in for this year.
  9. Hello all, I've got 4 Opening Day tickets, Section 225 row 8, all 4 tickets are together. I'm no longer going to be able to make it to the game, as I live in Houston and no longer able to make it up to Milwaukee due to work obligations. I paid $79/ticket, $316 for all 4. I'm just hoping to get as close to what I paid for as I can. If anyone is interested, feel free to email me at matthewbrusky@gmail.com. Thanks! Matt
  10. Lacy to the Seahawks on a 1yr $5.55M deal. Hoping they can get Foreman in the 2nd Round.
  11. Agreed on Perry. He's a talent when he's healthy, but it seems he never is 100%. Even last year, his legs finally were healthy and then he breaks his hand. The Packers are really high on Kentrell Brice and Marwin Evans, and I think they think Brice right now is 95% of the player Hyde is/was for a fraction of the cost, and with another year of development can be as good or better. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Randall's days as a corner are over and he moves back to safety or into Hyde's hybrid role. It's also a bumper crop year for CB and S in the draft. I would not be surprised at all if they take two corners. I completely agree with your comments about Brice being almost as good as Hyde right now, and that it's a great year for CB and S in the draft. I however don't think this solves all the backfield issues. I don't think Rollins or Randall all of a sudden step up and be a CB1, and I don't think anyone the Packers will draft at #29 will be capable of being a CB1 either. That leaves them without a CB1 for 2017 and will continue to get torched against good, playoff teams, just like what happened vs Atlanta a few months ago. They had the cap room to go out and one of the top ranked DBs, but they didn't do it. Also, at the same time as not shoring up the DBs, they've allows more talent to leave and have not brought any back in. Changes need to be made in the front office soon. There's no reason to have 2 of the 5 highest paid 3-4 edge rushers that were both on the team last year, on a defense that frankly was not all that good. I'm just so frustrated that they clearly have a window of the next three years with Rodgers contract and they just sit on their hands and don't make any interesting moves to fix the obvious glaring weaknesses on the team, while allowing the strengths to weaken too (if Lang leaves, Tretter already gone). I just don't get their plan, and don't agree with it. I'm not saying they need to mortgage the entire future for the next three years, but go out and get someone who might help the team would be nice, and you can't ALWAYS do it with just draft picks.
  12. Is anyone looking for someone to help fill a Roto league? I've now ended up in all h2h or points leagues and want to get back into a roto league.
  13. Looks like the Eagles are going to try and trade Mychal Kendricks because they no longer run a 3-4. Perhaps a target for the Packers seeing as they're sticking with Capers and his 3-4?
  14. Sounds like Miles Plumlee for Roy Hibbert and Spencer Hawes. http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2017/02/bucks-agree-to-trade-miles-plumlee-to-hornets.html Looks like trying to clear some cap space, Hibbert is on a 1 year $5m deal, and Hawes is making about $6.3M this year, and a touch over $6m next year. Honestly not sure why Charlotte is doing this, as we save a bunch of money for next year, and completely get these contracts off the books two offseasons from now. Hoping we aren't giving up any substantial picks as well.
  15. Any chance Burnes starts in A+ instead of A? Really liking the minor league pitching depth.
  16. Guess the Brewers won't be acquiring him in any deal now. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2017/01/dodgers-deep-in-talks-to-acquire-logan-forsythe-from-rays.html
  17. Haven't ordered or read his reports yet, but some still believe Hader won't stick as a SP. While I don't agree, it's not like it's a crazy opinion. That uncertainty can drop his stock a bit. That's why I like taking in all the information, it's all good stuff. Woodruff's ranking has been all over the map. That's what happens when someone comes out of the blue (somewhat) to post a monster season. Yep, agree. He's quite complimentary of Hader in the piece, summing him up as a potential #2 SP or nasty backend reliever, depending on the change up and command. He just likes the 5 above him more, which is a compliment to our system. And Woodruff is a complete pop-up prospect with a great fastball and average secondaries. He's all over the place in the various online rankings. Ok, you guys talked me into getting it.
  18. My frustration with yesterday was, they couldn’t cover, but yet didn’t seem like they were bringing any blitzes to try and force Ryan to get the ball out of his hand quickly. If they knew the secondary couldn’t cover well/for long, why wouldn’t they try and send 6-7 guys every play to try and force them to make a mistake? This could be completely stupid, but that’s just how I felt watching the game. I read a short Pro Football Focus article today about the secondary (https://www.profootballfocus.com/pro-packers-need-to-solve-their-secondary-issues-this-offseason/) , which showed how well Randall, Rollins, and Gunter all played in 2015, then how terrible all three were in 2016, and they’re all still younger than 24. My gut feeling tells me this is because they all had to play up because of Shields being out practically the whole season. I feel like if they spend some cash in FA and grab A.J. Bouye (can dream, right?), Stephon Gilmore, or Trumaine Johnson, they would have themselves a true CB1 and would allow the young trio to all slot in at CB2 – CB4 which would be more fitting for them, and allow them to keep growing. I also see that they could save $11.1M in cap space if they cut Clay, and $9M if they cut Shields. I will admit I have barely followed cap hits and what hits most guys count against the cap, just see the original FA deals that run across the headlines and that’s about it. Going further into free agency, cap space, and the draft, I feel like it just brings up more and more questions. Do they resign any of T.J. Lang, Micah Hyde, Jared Cook, Julius Peppers, Eddie Lacy, Nick Perry, Datone Jones, Joe Thomas, or Christine Michael? Would Lang come back at roughly his $5.2 average salary from his previous deal? How much would it take to bring back Cook? How much would Hyde cost? If they go out and spend money on a CB1, do they need Hyde? Like many have said before, I think they need to first figure out which direction they want to take the defense (Capers, 3-4, Nickel) and who the GM is going to be, and work together to match personnel to the defensive scheme, this seems so stupid to say, but it really feels like TT never worked together with Capers to get him players he wants for his system. With the way NFL offenses have been going, it seems like they should have a Nickel base defense, but ability to go bigger when the situation presents itself. I’m going to ask this, and admit I have no idea on an answer, but would Daniels, Clark, and Guion be able to start next to each other on a Nickel defense? If they went the route of having 4 down linemen, if they would resign Perry, would he be able to start on the line as a DE with them? The direction I would like to see them make would be to cut Shields, cut Clay, sign one of those CBs I mentioned earlier, resign Hyde, Cook, and Lang. Decide what direction they’re going with the defense and sign a FA that fits on the DE or OLB. The draft seems to be deep in CB and RB help, which maybe would allow them to let Hyde and Lacy go, and draft help there. There’s a lot of very intriguing names for RB/CB/Edge help that could be available in the first two rounds. Christian McCaffrey, D’onta Foreman would be great RB picks (guessing they have no shot at Cook or Fournette). Teez Tabor, Adoree Jackson, Marshon Lattimore, Sidney Jones, Tre’Davious White, Desmond King, Gareon Conley – most of these guys should be available at the end of round one, and maybe someone at the end of round two. Also plenty of DE/OLB like Tim Williams and Carl Lawson should be available at the end of round one. Sorry for the long post, just trying to look at the positives after yesterday’s game, and the nice 8 game win streak before that. Trying to be optimistic for the next five years or so that Rodgers will still be here.
  19. I would find it difficult to buy something that lists Hader as the Brewers #6 prospect and Woodruff as #16.
  20. Sorry if I've missed this discussed somewhere else, but these Comp A picks still fall between the first and second rounds of the draft, correct? The same as Picks 35-41 in the 2016 draft? The Brewers could end up with, *fingers crossed* at worst, Picks #9, #41, and #50?
  21. http://www.nba.com/bucks/news/khris-middleton-sidelined-hamstring-injury Per Bucks, Middleton going to be out 6 months, big blow to the 16-17 season.
  22. Hey Colby, What are some of the drawbacks of Alex Lange that keep him out of the top half of the first round? Thanks! To the thoughts on the 2017 first round pick, even though the Brewers are in desperate need of a TOR starter, the odds seem to be in favor of adding a hitter in the first round, keep stock piling talent that seems like it will have a better chance of turning out, and end up acquiring potential TOR starters via trade. Although, i know that approach seems to not be very favorable among most Brewerfan'ers
  23. Woodruff has gone from 110IP last year to currently 151IP this year. Not sure the extent of Woodruff pitching last year on top of those 110 innings of affiliated ball, but that seems like a sizable increase from last year to this year, plus it looks like he's in line for one more regular season start, and possibly one or two more post season starts? With that increase, he should be able to be stretched out to 180-200 IP in 2017. Hoping they don't push him too much more this season.
