  1. I'm just delighted the NL won the All Star Game because it means we play the Red Sox at home first when we get to the World Series. Whaddya mean we still have a bunch of games to play? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  2. ANNIE Hall would be an upgrade over Counsell tight now!
  3. Message to all the "Greinke is overrated" posters - was that dominant enough for you?
  4. Doug - quick, while Mozielak is still on acid, offer him Kotsay for Holliday
  5. Do they realize that most Carlos Zambrano MLB games are rated PG-13? I'm not one to tell other people how to raise their children, but this could seriously affect that girl's childhood. Don't worry, Big Z only smashes Gatorade dispensers in Spanish, so she probably won't understand his tirade!
  6. Over at Viva El Birdos, Cards fans are pissed. Real pissed! I would even go so far as to say angry. In fact, someone with greater Photoshop skills than I could be working right now on a t-shirt design featuring the Angry 'Birds being pissed at this trade. We can split the proceeds until the copyright people tell us to stop making the shirts! I'm just saying...http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  7. Oh. My. God. I just watched that play numerous times and if I was a Pirates fan I'd be steamed. That was a "I'm really tired and want to go home so the next close enough play wins it" call. When all the umpires have been replaced by robots, they should go round to Jerry Meals house and key his car, for it will have been his fault. Even Lugo knew he'd been tagged. Just a terrible, terrible piece of umpiring. If the Gallaraga play at first was bang bang, that one was bang ......bang. Edit: shortened length (OWBC)
  8. I guess RRR just got his new toy and wants to play with it every day until it breaks!
  9. Only 90 pitches and the bottom of the order coming up. Why would they do that?
  10. If "meh" is Bulgarian for "bloody awful", I agree!
  11. I don't think a humorous alter-ego should let Plush hit against lefties ever!
  12. Not even close. Basketball players practice free throwing every day. Penalty kicks are just a tiny part of soccer skills. What is with all the excuses today, first a ball bounces off Weeks glove and people want to forgive him because it was hit hard, who cares, he is in the majors. Same with this, these players are in the World Cup and they cant put the ball within a 24 by 8 foot box from 10 yards away? No excuse, unbelievably pathetic.12 yards away - can't believe you didn't know that! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  13. The third shooter completely missed the net on penalty kicks, that is worse than air balling a free throw to tie the game in overtimeNot even close. Basketball players practice free throwing every day. Penalty kicks are just a tiny part of soccer skills.
  14. Belling's a tool on non-baseball issues, but takes it to a new level regarding the Brewers.
  15. They'll need a shortstop after they get shot of Reyes, so I'm guessing it'll be Yuni!http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  16. Why on God's green earth does it take 5 hours for a round of golf on most Wisconsin courses? I guess people either just have zero self-awareness at how slow they are going, don't understand the most basic golf etiquette (waving people through BEFORE you spend 10 minutes looking for lost balls, not after), or have watched so many pros on TV spend time lining up putts for $1000s of dollars, so they think they have to. And what's the deal with huge sentences in forum posts!http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  17. I absolutely loathe driving to Chicago, but Portishead are one of the very few bands I'll make the trip for. If the Aragon Ballroom tickets haven't gone on sale yet, it can't be sold out, can it? I see no mention on either the theater website or Ticketmaster's.
  18. I loved the lineup this year, both for older acts and the newer indie bands I like. Highlight of the 3 days I went, however, was Toots and the Maytals - Toots is 66 years old and they just brought it. Reggae and ska legends - what a show!
  19. Given Seattle's move towards getting younger, and the obvious JZ connection, I could see Jack Wilson being a target. If that happens at least one player will be ecstatic - Corey Hart will no longer be "ugliest Milwaukee Brewer"!
  20. Terrible? C'mon. I realize it's now traditional to rip on the lineup hours before the start of every game, but let's have some perspective. If and when it ever got to the stage, late on, when Dusty was bringing in a lefty for Prince, I'm sure either Gamel or Kotsay will be pulled for either McGehee and/or Gomez anyway. Sheesh!
  21. Congratulations, Agent Sharpie - mission accomplished!
  22. Maybe they should go back to Brooklyn!
  23. Moooooon River!
  24. From the Rays fan site - comedy gold! "The Brewers had no qualms about exposing Johnny Damon's noodle arm. At one point, Rickie Weeks actually put on the bratwurst costume, rounding third base comically slow as Damon's throw to the plate dangled in the air like a satellite"!
