Unless the Brewers reveal that SK was doing bar dice for shots in the bullpen, this is stupid. They might as well have fired the guy who drives the team bus to the airport for road games, for all the impact this will have.

I loathe the ASG and all the politics that goes along with it. I'd much rather they said "here's a week off from baseball - fans, take a break, players, go lie on a beach for a few days. Come back refreshed. Thanks".

I have a thyroid and pituitary condition which requires periodic visits to see an endocrinologist. She said, when I was chatting with her yesterday, that she treats bodybuilders taking, in some cases, THREE types of steroids - oral, creams and injections. She mentioned that in all her years with known juicers, NONE have had testosterone levels remotely as high as Braun tested for. In her opinion, levels that high were not only not achievable, but had to be the result of faulty testing. Since that was the ONLY evidence against him, it has to be ruled out - hence, no case to answer. And if the leaks, and journalistic "brains" at ESPN had acted morally, we'd never even have known about it.

I bumped into Ben Sheets - literally - coming out of TGI Fridays on Bluemound about 5 years ago. He was injured (natch), and I asked him not to tell me the score of the game vs. Houston that night as I had DVR'ed it. "I wouldn't bother watching it", he said, about the heavy defeat!

The Plush persona thing started to wear on me towards the end of last year, but I'm now done with Morgan in CF. That noodle arm has no place in an outfield.

I'm in a keeper league through CBS which drafts (auction) this Sunday. Does anyone use software to help keep tabs on the players taken, players remaining, manager salaries left etc? Every year I seem to spend half my time updating spreadsheets frantically, rather than focusing on my team!

Dammit - ye've discovered ma secret identity! On the subject of football - I still have a problem calling it soccer - I'm done trying to explain the charms of the beautiful game to US non-believers. If you get it, great - if not, it's like when people who love NASCAR try to explain its appeal to me. Apparently, you have to pick a driver to follow. So is it Ramirez - 1B, Gamel - 3B or vice versa? I'd go with Ramirez at 1B just for the fact that we might see fewer injuries there for the older player.
