    I don't believe the Tigers will stay in their funk anymore than I believe the Crew will stay in theirs. Both teams are better than they are demonstrating at the moment. Unfortunately, like us, they have several stars and key players underperforming at the same time. Teams generally have a player or two struggling at any given time, but six or seven is a recipe for losing streaks. Oh look, like we've both had.

    Oh, for flip's sake, of course it's better. They might not be playing well AT THE MOMENT, but, come on, it's not even close. Exactly the same group of players could be 10 games better off, sitting on top of the division and I guarantee there would be a post along the lines of "Is this team better than the 1982 team?".

    Which is sad, I just get this feeling no matter how bad it gets and how bad we the fans want Nedly gone Mark and Doug will just stand pat. Some of us fans happen to disagree that this is all on Ned. Don't think your opinions are unanimous...

    What has become apparent after today's non-announcement is that those that really really want Yost gone will clutch at anything that even hints at it happening, no matter how much truth (or otherwise) emerges. I tried wishful thinking and my Aston Martin never showed up, so I wouldn't hold much stock in it as a means of getting what you want!

    I think Melvin quietly picking up Yost's 2009 option right after last season's debacle was a really bad move on his part. Now it cost the Brewers $1.1M to buyout Ned for next year. Why doesn't everyone here who wants him gone take up a collection? By my reckoning, the money should be raised by Friday...

    Be careful what you wish for - there's absolutely no guarantee that when Yost gets canned we won't end up with Dale "Clueless Joe" Sveum or Ted "Never Had One Lesson" Simmons. Either of those 2 options IMO would be worse than Yost.

    I just get the feeling that someone is going to pay and pay big for our recent struggles. We've already beaten 2 aces this week in Wainwright and Penny, let's add Beckett to the list.

    Jeez, Russ, get with the program. Obviously Ned should have anticipated that cruising along for 6 innings mowing them down means you'll implode in the 7th. Everyone knows that!

    Which is why I'm interested in those (myself included) who still believe we can make the playoffs. If we don't, then not only are you disappointed, but you are also wrong with the prediction. Dare I say that's the harder option to choose, then?

    Isn't anyone else ashamed that we are attempting to give advice based on finance (insurance) rather than patient welfare (doctor)? It's hard to be hugely proud of our health system isn't it? Go see a doc, dude.
