  1. I am not going to worry about until we actually know whats going on. In the grand scheme of thigns I dont think it is a big deal if hwe has to miss a start or two. If he has to miss a month or two then I would be worried. I hope they mention on todays broadcast how he is doing
  2. NL Central looks to be the best division in baseball today. Hour by hour weather in Cincy shows about a 50% chance of rain from 12 till 6 or 7 so their is a good chance their will be a rain delay at some point, but I think they will get the game in.
  3. I think it is about time Ned thinks about keeping Ben on a strict every 5th day schedule. The way things are going with our other 4 guys we need as many starts out of him as possible. 1. Because Ben Sheets is God and 2. The bullpen would be much obliged if a starter made it into the 7th inning once in a while
  4. I like Ned, I've always like Ned and if he ever is fired I'll be sad to see him go. He is by no means a perfect manager. His biggest flaw has been his bullpen management but when you consider what kind of pitchers we have had their in the past you can see why he was indecicive at times. He does a decent job with the lineup and is not stubborn about a specific batting order. He does get his players to play hard all the time and he has their respect. He is not afraid to go out and stick up for his guys and maybe sometimes he goes to far (Pujols last year). It is completely unfair to judge based upon his wins and losses because when he first came he had a couple years of just awful teams. It is no suprise to me that all of these young guys have come up and played extremely well (Fielder, Braun, Hart, Gallardo, Hardy). I could probably count the guys I would rather have that I think would fit with a young team like outr on one hand.
  5. The Cardinals are going to better than I expected but still see them as a .500 team at best. Their lineup still has a bunch of holes and thier SP cannot even remotely come close to the way they are pitching now. They have gotten pretty lucky in playing two good offense clubs who just happened to be struggling at the time they played the Cards (Rockies and Brewers) two awful offensive clubs (Nationals and Giants) and one so-so club (Astros). Once they get to play the Mets, Cubs, Reds, Brewers (when we actually hit), Braves, Phillies, etc, their SP and bullpen will be exposed. Thier offense is also average I would say, they are being carried by Pujols and Ankiel right now and Ludwick certianly impressed me. But you cant consistently win with that lineup. And if Albert goes down for any extended period of time they are finishes.
  6. Thank God Josh Fogg doesn't pitch in this series http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  7. Tell me about it, up until the 8th inning I was going to go home and be pissed the rest of the night and refuse to watch baseball highlights (I refuse to watch highlights when the Brewers lose) but now I think I am up for some BW3's
  8. What it did was put the tieing runs in scoring position for your two best hitters. Smart move, that turned out to be the right move. who is to say JJ doesn't get a hit. It was a stupid move. Down 2 to give up an out. many many people beg to differ
  9. Now would be a good time for one of those balls that goes over the fence. I forgot what they were called
  10. Our team needs a bigger grit factor. Outside of Kendall we have no grit. Gritty players dont go in slumps So eah Wainright has a whopping 35 pitches through 3. I have never seen an entire lineup go so cold.
  11. So how about we take a little baby step this inning and get a baserunner
  12. The dollar amount isnt the issue, the years part is This could be Ben's last big contract, hell be looking for at least 4 years If he would take 4 years at $16 a year I would do it
  13. In the short term anyone they bring in will probably hit better than Soriano, but sooner or later Soriano would come around so if this is a long term problem it could spell doom. So does this mean Theriot is going to lead off? Ouch Shouldn't really say anything since Weeks isnt exactly an OBP machine lately
  14. The Milwaukee Bucks: Where nothing happens The Milwaukee Bucks: Where a waste of money happens I could go on and on. Thankfully this is the last time they will bump the Crew. I got a bad feeling about tonights Brewers game but I am still hoping for the best.
  15. The same way we think when we watch A Ram
  16. Man are we lucky to be 8-5. If we can be 8-5 without Gallardo and Cameron, and with Braun, Weeks, Fielder, and Hall all playing like crap it really is a minor miracle that we are 3 games above .500. Makes me feel pretty good about our team once Gallardo replaces Bush (hopefully) and Cameron replaces Gross/Kapler. Hart, Kapler, and Kendall have really saved us the first two weeks, although Hart was pretty ehhh just until a couple days ago. We are also still 4-3 on the road. All things considered we aren't doing to bad.
  17. Our 1,2, and 5 hitters went 0- last night. And you wonder why Prince isn't playing well so far. No one is giving him anything to hit because the mighty Bill Hall is behind him? Bill Hall is the new 3TO - K, DP, or HR I am also losing faith in Weeks. If Hall and Weeks are still in these funks at the end of May, I say that it is time to move on. Rickie by then will have had ample time to prove himself and for the most part hasn't shown a whole lot. And Bill Hall can just look atrocious sometimes and when he does get hot they certainly don't las for very long. Never seen anybody swign and miss at more terrible pitches than Weeks and Hall. EDIT: I forgot to mention how bad Gabe Gross is. 2-22 almost exclusively aginst righties. And I thought that was suppose to be his strong suit? Not that big of a deal because I cant imagine hell be around after Cameron comes back but the man seems to be a black hole
  18. Bill Hall - The Anti -Clutch Momentum is certainly buidling in Corey Hart's favor for the #5 spot. Prince has walked 3 times and the Cards have gotten away with it every time because Hall looks awful
  19. I still like the lineup. Dillon is a pretty darn good hitter, maybe I would switch him and Hart just for this one day. Since the Brewers haven't played since Sunday afternoon I will be immensly disappointed if we are losing like 6-0 after the 3rd inning. This game has taken a long time to get here. Off days suck
