Dear Jeff Cirillo, I miss you. My heart was broken when I pushed you away. I don't know why I did it. I've had some tough rebounds named Craig and Tony and they've just made me realize how empty I am without you. Life's been good to me. You could say I've been winning a lot lately. In fact, its been better than it has in a long time, but when I recently saw you with your new team, it brought back a rush of memories that I was somehow able to supress... until now. They seem like a good team, but... I don't know. I guess I just wish you were still with me. Don't ever forget how well you hit it with me. Yours, The Brewers
Oh man I'm pumped. This is the game of the year that I'm planning on the first 5 innings or so to be somewhat of a blur. Last big hurrah before work starts on Monday. Go Crew!
I'm writing this in my empty bedroom in La Crosse, but by first pitch I will be an official resident of Madison. Hopefully my move (and/or the stopper out on the mound) will be the nudge the Brewers need to get back on track heading into my second game of the year on Friday...
No complaints here. I did not think the crew was going to get back into it, but they showed me a lot by fighting back. I really like this Brewer team but they just came up against a Phillies team that is solid right now. That was a good pitch that Turnbow threw.
well this has been an interesting evening. the power went out at our house during the second inning. thinking that it would come back on, i just read for a while. then, around the 6th inning i took a 9volt out of my smoke detector and put it in my clock radio. i sat out on the front porch and listened to the meltdown from a staticy uecker with the radio pressed against my ear. painful loss, but thats the way some of them are i suppose. the power just came back on, just under 4 hours later.
My favorite part of the Brewers series preview on the Mets board was in the blurb describing Fielder. After quoting some meaningful stats about his recent hot-streak, he threw in: "His middle name is Semien."
In today's mlb preview. Jenkins has really come alive with the media lately (is he failing to heed his own advice??) But seriously Jenks, "too cool for school?" Dork.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
Man, Cordero's ERA just exploded to 0.57 http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Tomorrow's my first game of the year and boy am I pumped. Here's to a huge SWAT, another Hardy/Fielder clinic, and a 9-1 homestand!
Moving my TV into the front yard. Grilling up some beer-brats. Drinking with college buddies at our house for one of the last times. The only other part of the equation is a Brewer Victory! Let's do it boys!
Vargas sent the pirates to the plank And all the young ones pushed 'em 'til they sank. But baseball doesn't offer time to boast About a solid victory from Yost. Like time, go day and night games, on and on. Tonight, the Duke gets slaughtered by Suppan. Oh whoops, I thought it was Iambic Pentameter day!
I hate to nitpick After a convincing win But what the heck, Ned? When we're up by ten We don't use Turnbow or Wise And never CoCo. Still, I can't complain. Any win from the pirates, And I sleep in peace.
