  1. Yeah I would say it was more of a steady "tightness" in the groin than a snap. It felt pretty smooth to me. Even smoother was the bungee jumping, even though it looks like you snap back up, it was smooth as a dream.
  2. Why for ever snce Vargas onth e BreweZ he mus be injured somthing with Era that low - whattt? stopy typing your makign foool of yourslf
  3. I'll try to give Ned the benefit of the doubt on this one, because it really doesn't make any sense otherwise. The people making these decisions have more information than I do. I hope against all hopes that Bush doesn't get traded. I kind of hope we find out he's nursing some type of minor injury, as that would seem to be one of the only logical explanations here.
  4. Yeah I don't think we'll have to worry about that. The Brewers have been freakishly healthy this year, especially in the starting pitching staff. Certainly hope it continues, but what a wonderful option waiting in the wings in case it doesn't.
  5. Whoops, just posted identical sentiments in a different pitching/Yo thread. So, ditto.
  6. That can work out nice though, Russ. See 4 innings live, listen to Ueck for a couple on the ride home, and then watch the last 3 at home! Vargas has been a very lucky/mediocre fifth starter, and you can't complain too too much about the results I suppose, but how about a nice solid showing, where BA doesn't have to use the term "Magic Man" after each inning. Keep it going, bats!
  7. I have a bad feeling about Pence every night. That guy is a stud. Good thing the Brewers have quite a few of those as well...
  8. I went in Queenstown, New Zealand and it was amazing. My only advice would be to shoot for a clear day (if you have any control over that) otherwise your freefall will all be above the cloud line. The harness gives you a little nudge in the crotch-region and my ears were having some problems popping (although that always happens to me). Still, you will absolutely love it - it was the second most exhilerating experience of my life (you've gotta do bungee jumping! Make Connor do it too)
  9. Although we'll never know if the "right decisions" would have made a difference in this game, I definitely think Yost did a horrible job of giving his team the best opporitunity to win today. Oh well, a loss is a loss and every team's gonna have them, I suppose.
  10. BA: "Johnny, trying to get on base..." Haha, more like Johnny, trying to swing himself out of his own shoes.
  11. Haha, mench is an outfield assist machine... ? Lets go offense. Will we get to see Geoff in this game?
  12. Soooooo frustrating. Where is Villanueva?
  13. I guess I would put myself in the "Yost supporters" camp overall. But his in-game management today has been atrocious, in my uneducated opinion. I try not to look at things with the benefit of hindsight (which can be hard) but I've been scratching my head all day. I have absolutely no doubt that every brewer goes up to the plate or plays the field with an intense desire to win... but in games like today, it seems like Ned is making decisions based more on the desire not to lose, which can be a different attitude, I think. Sometimes you have to go for the throat.
  14. That was one of the worst 3-2 pitches I've ever seen. EDIT: although it was better than Dotel's to Hart I suppose http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  15. When you have an option on the bench that is much more consistently successful against right handed pitchers (as well as a defensive improvement) the double means nothing to me. The hindsight of Mench randomly getting a hit (as he's bound to do at some point) against righties doesn't change the fact that over the course of the season, that is a situation that Jenkins is more likely to succeed in.
  16. Ok Ok even a blind squirrel finds a nut, but Jenkins needs to be in the batters box for Mench in the 10th. 9 times out of 10 he doesn't hit a double in that situation.
  17. Man its great when both times the crowd gets to their feet, the Brewers can give them something to stay standing about (Hart's HR and that huge K)
  18. Will there be a Capellan sighting? I hope Prince stays in the game....
  19. WAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! that was magical
  20. As for the Yost comment, you will never hear me blame a loss on Ned. The players that are in there need to produce. But there are times where he needs to do a better job of giving them the best opporitunity to produce.
  21. Oh, I think Yost stayed with Mench because Shrek is currently on TBS.
  22. What an utterly frustrating game. Here's hoping for the aforementioned Bill Hall 9th EDIT: although if I see Gross in this game before Jenkins or Prince I think I am literally going to be sick.
  23. YOST: I defend you, perhaps foolishly, but please... Pinch hit Jenkins for Mench in the 8th against righties. I cannot stress this enough.
  24. This is one I wish I could be there for too. Go YoGurt! How come we dont' have as many Yo predictions this time?? I guess (hope) that matched up with this Royals offense, which is probably going to be overswinging, and with one start under his belt, Yo will shine... 7IP 0R 6H 1BB 1-3 and a run scored
