  1. Haha. The car is sold as of this morning. I came here to delete the thread, but I'll give the Seinfeld joke a few hours of life... EDIT: Apparently it's not possible for a non-moderator to delete a thread. If a mod sees this, feel free to delete this thread if it's best for this forum. Thanks.
  2. Shoot, did I forget to mention that Vinny Rottino previously owned this car?

  4. Seems like pro-DH is typically more concerned with preventing silly pitcher ABs than gaining the offense from dedicated hitting ringers. Seems like anti-DH is typically more concerned with the illegitimacy of offense from dedicated hitting ringers than losing something by not making pitchers bat. I haven't really thought it through all the way, but would it be feasible to compromise and only have an eight man batting order? It would be a step towards the DH in terms of NL pitching stats not being diluted by facing a weak hitting pitcher 2.5 times a game, but not full blown DH with a hired goon doing nothing but hitting.
  5. So, the brooklyn Nets uniforms are basically identical to the Spurs?
  6. Ironic that the Angels and Rangers were fighting over Greinke for their major post-season push, and neither one made the playoffs. I'm pretty happy that I have both the As and Os to root for in the AL side. Even DET wouldn't be that bad. So of course, NYY will emerge victorious in ALCS.
  7. Imagine the Brewers going 94-68 and losing a coin flip game to an 88-74 team, missing out on the actual playoffs. Oh, and throw in the most atrocious call to incorrectly burn one of your outs and one of your base runners in the middle of a rally -- a call so puzzling you've never seen a call like it in your decades-upon-decades of watching baseball. I can't imagine how ticked a Braves fan would be right now. It would be worse for a Brewers fan since we're much more starved for post-season. There would be no words.
  8. One of the most ridiculous bloody calls I've ever seen. And of course, the always-charmed Cardinals benefit hugely from it. Bloody terrible. St. Louis is spoiled enough, they don't bloody need bloody gifts from bloody terrible (or paid off?) umpires. Disgusting. Awful. Shameful. Infuriating.
  9. I'da given Luc a hit on that. He smashed it so hard, the third basemen couldnt even get his glove over in time to make an error.
  10. Weeks really Yuni'd that grounder in the 9th. Super slow runner coming for an easy force at 2nd, should have been routine to pick up that ball and get one out. Glad it didn't cost us. I felt bad for Parra, though.
  11. I texted Jon, Aaron, and Schubert to remind them of the 6:30 start time. I have confirmation from Jon and Schubert so far. EDIT: Aaron also confirms. EDIT: Drick also confirms via text. By my count, that's 10. Should we go without any subs?
  12. On the other hand, if we have exactly 10 and anyone is late due to the 6:30 start time, that will mean starting short-handed.... Hmm.
  13. Tim, I don't think we do. Unless someone else pulls out, we will still be at 10 after missing Nick and Al. Radman and Houle have been a little banged up, but it sounds like both are ready to play.
  14. Last game of the year already... I am in. ** REMINDER - 6:30 game time ... different from the original schedule **
  15. Without an 8:30 game on the 19th, it wouldn't be a very long wait after our game to see the outcome of league. Pretty crummy that White House doesn't even play in that final week of the season, though.
  16. Just started a new thread to grab your attention, refer to the pinned "2012 Schedule" thread for more information on schedule changes.
  17. I just got the following from the Rec Dept: "REVISED SCHEDULE… EA Sports has been dropped from the league for administrative reasons – please pass on the revised schedule to your teammates." Looks like the revised schedule moves up our final game to 6:30. Revision doesn't appear to be online yet, screenshot of the PDF is attached.
  18. Interesting. Sorry for the misinformation. I guess that special playoff that one year stuck in my head.
  19. Nick and Brian out ... me, Tim, Radman, Houle, Beeks, and Al confirmed in ... I'll work the texts and see about the other four (Jon, Aaron, Drick, Schubert).
  20. Watching the fireworks tonight on channel 12, they keep showing captions of "marcus ampitheater". The blatant misspelling actually bugged me enough to send them an email reminding them that we weren't the deep south and should have enough pride to not make basic spelling errors like uneducated idiots.
  21. You can post mine here. Thanks Radman!
