I feel the same way. I'm watching the playoffs and I know that the Crew could have done pretty good in the playoffs.

I would say a professional hitter is a guy who knows what the situation is. Like if a guy is at second, he will hit behind the runner to advance the runner up to 3rd. Or if the pitcher is really stuggling to throw strikes he'll work the count and make the pitcher throw one before he'll swing. If a guy is on 3rd he'll try to hit a fly ball to drive the runner in. Thats my idea of a professional hitter

lets not have this discussion again. I think its a bad rule but its a rule. Its not up us to decide what is allowed here and whats not, we just have to follow the rules.

would you seriously not attend Brewers games if Yost is there? I of course can't stand the man, but I wouldn't stop going to games just because the dope is still in charge.

Honestly I think we see different things when taking a step back, as you put it. I see a team that was only expected to win 82-85 games and be in 2nd or 3rd place in the division by most people before the season started. 2 games stood out to me this week for the managers on the opposite bench for situations that would get Ned in big trouble with his critics. The first was Monday's game where LaRussa left his starter in the game to give up 9 runs, 4 earned. The next was tonights game. Thatcher, a lefty, gets brought in and gives up a hit to Braun. Then Fielder gets intentionally walked so that Thatcher can face Hart. If Yost brought in Shouse and let him pitch to a right handed batter and then intentionally walked a lefty, some people would want him gone yesterday. I coudln't believe that they were going to let thatcher face braun, then face hart. If yost would have done that, I would have flipped. Those are the decisions that you have to go brain dead at the time to make them. If I'm a fan of SD, I would be livid that they had a lefty to face Braun.

I don't get the argument that the players seem to like him, or they play hard for him. I have not seen anywhere where they have really backed their manager. The only thing I remember during the season is when Hardy was being yelled at and Estrada and Graffy came to his defense. They are young players, if anything I would think they would be sick of this guy and his moves. They have to be thinking in the back of their head, why would you make so and so move when it hasn't worked out all year. Of course we aren't in the club house, so we have no clue either way if they like him, or don't like him, but I would bet they aren't Yost fans either.

its funny too. I'm happy that he is getting heat for this. being tossed 3 times in the last 4 games he has managed shows a huge lack of leadership. How can you bring this dope back?

Nobody is blaming Yost for the loss. You guys seem to struggle to understand that. You guys seem to read only what you want to read. Turnbow sucked, Hart left the city of milwaukee on base. We don't deny that. What we are saying is, you don't hit someone, get yourself tossed in a pennant race. You just don't do that. This is just one thing in a line of things that Yost does that you shoudln't do.

Hitting a guy at that moment is just plain stupid. Stupid baseball, stupid managing stupid everything. Like someone said, he is going to make an out more times than not. You don't intentionally put runners on base late in games. If you want to send a message, you do it next year. After that beaning, it set it up for the big inning, and they took full advantage of it. Right now anyone defending Yost is just doing so for the sake of arguing and has no real reasons for doing it.

I don't think that he is saying its a big deal. Every team prints their tickets ahead of time. What I think the idea of it is, the Cubs are so superstitious that for them to print their tickets ahead of time would just be another curse. -
thats just stupid. He made the tag on the shouler, and even so, an ump calls the runner out 99-100 times there.

there were about 3 close plays that all went against the crew. A couple of those calls were really bad
