  1. billy packer....fingernails on a chalkboard He was actually defending a player who made a mistake today, instead of calling him a total failure...Who are you and what have you done with Billy Packer?!
  2. I third the Bubba Franks. Thank God for Dave Rayner...
  3. Let's not lock this thread quite yet..
  4. I know I'm in the minority here, but I really want to see the Cards do it this year. I'll even go so far as to say the Cards are my 2nd favorite team. Despite the Division rivalry, I can never seem to get to dislike them like the Cubs or the Twins.
  5. The Tigers aren't going to be around for very long. The Yanks staff has been hanging pitches all game, and they just vcan't jump on enough of them. Their frustration shows with every pop-up.
  6. Zito didn't strike out as many as he is used to because in the later innnings he was taking advantage of the Twins swinging early. He had a couple 8, 9 pitch innings in there. Kendall called/Zito pitched a good game, IMO. It's now the A's series.
  7. I was just eating lunch at Memorial Union (at UW-Madison) and upon seeing more than the usual number of people wearing Twins swag...got rather jealous. I want a turn! That's actually my selfish reason for not wanting the Twins to win. I can't stand seeing all the Twins garb on the UW Campus. I'm sooo jealous.
  8. *Sighs* Is anyone else really depressed that Brewers Baseball is a few outs away from being done for another 6 months? The season hasn't been the greatest, but I will miss these guys, especially Ueck and Powell.
  9. Amen about the Cigarettes and crossing Johnson and University. Luckily, neither my dorm nor any of my classes are over in that area, so I don't have to deal with it too much. As for the smoking, the few weeks that I've been on campus, the number of smokers has really amazed me I'm originally from Madison and had been downtown tons of times, but I never really realized all the smokers until I started living here. I hate second-hand smoke.
  10. Walks in the inning: 6. Ouch.
  11. My friend's pet raccoon who jumps me from behind and chews on my head. HAHA. Alright probably shouldn't laugh, but I cracked up immediately. Whatever, the Brewers walked off tonight, I'm in a good mood...
  12. Wow Graffanino. What an AB! 10 Pitches.
  13. Ridiculous, three hour commercial breaks on talk/sports radio. I hate this one. Often times I'll just be driving for 10-15 minutes at a time, and if i feel like listening to sports/talk radio in the car, I have to pray it's not on commercial break or I won't get to listen to the show I won't. Oh well. Boo Hoo. for me. Here's another (rather trivial) one: When a Kleenex box is down to it's last few tissues, and everytime you take one out of the slit, the next one falls back to to bottom of the box, and you have to dig to get it out.
  14. Well said trwi Hehe, good game boys. Beautiful game Sheets.
  15. So does a pickoff mean we can wipeout the hit?
  16. ESPN.com did. East Coast Bias ! ! !
  17. Don't move a muscle. In Other news...Freddy Garcia has a PERFECT GAME going through 6.
  18. brewers255, i have nothing against Jenks, and of course I know that one at bat or one inning shouldn't determine how a manager plays his guys. I'm just chanelling my frustration at this season's display of Hart rotting on the bench with Jenkins stinking up the middle of the order.
  19. OK Yost, let's recap: Jenkins = Strike Out Hart = Home Run
  20. When your professor writes on the chalkboard, erases what he writes, only to leave one small part un-erased, (like the loop of the letter y or j or something), and then that one little loop bothers you all class because you are way too OCD for your own good.
  21. That hit by Billy was enormous. 1) It got us the lead. (duh) 2) Very importantly, it saved Cappy from going out there and pitching in the 5th after running the length of a football field and standing on 3rd for 15 minutes in the hot sun. He at least got to sit down for a while. Instead, he goes out in the 5th and dominates.
  22. Chris Capuano is going to strike out 27. Wow.
  23. It's soooo great to be back in the 'States if only for the reason that I can listen to Brewers baseball on the radio. Like Jim P. said, "there is nothing in life that's free that's better than baseball on the radio." Come on Crew, let's actually maintain a winning streak!
