  1. I think we need to dip into the "Best Series Ever at Miller Park" thread again...What an amazing trio of games this weekend, just amazing. Hopefully this gives these guys a big boost. We need it facing Detroit. The Crew has had problems at times follwing up big wins, so I hope they know these aren't the Indians they are facing this week. Best team in baseball M-W Worst team in baseball F-S Ironically, something tells me we'll do better in those first three than the last three. Just a gut feeling. Great game, I wish i could've been there either today or yesterday. Sign Caballo!
  2. A Moeller AB actually lasts more than 3 pitches...Good job. Seriously, that sounded good off the bat...I hope he can semi-get it going so that the bottom of our order isn't a total hole on select days.
  3. In-play. Run scoring play. My radio is covering the weather...thank god for MLB.com and Prince Fielder!
  4. Goodness Moeller is a hole... 2 AB, 6 Pitches, 2 K's.
  5. Man oh man, Prior has given up 3 homers in the first and Detroit leads 6-0.
  6. Lee and Fielder with the successful double steal...I love it.
  7. Closed roof today...Hopefully that will cut down on some of the homers that Jackson tends to give up.
  8. I'm excited to see the Fielder vs. Sabathia matchup...two big guys, two lefties, and Prince hits lefties well...look for some biiiiig cuts by the Prince.
  9. You only feel that way because guts side with each other. C.C. has the gut, Cappy doesn't. Haha, totally didn't realize my pun there. Again, I hope I'm wrong.
  10. My gut tells me that Sabathia is going to absolutely own us, going eight shuntout innings or something like that, and we lose 5-0. My head tells me that we aren't going to get shutout again though, but that it will still be a pitchers duel, with Cappy and the Brewers winning 3-1. It'll be interesting to see what the crowd is tonight: Interleague matchup, two elite pitchers, fleece blanket give-away for some fans...I'll say somewhere between 28,000 and 30,000 Brewers faithful (maybe a couple of Tribe fans make the trip too)

  12. Geoff with a hit! Let's get it going big boy... One bad thing about listening to the radio: You get the extraneous ballpark sounds, which usually adds character, but can sometimes get on your nerves. Tonight it's a couple of kids constantly yelling A few weeks ago in Philly it was a few guys going "Woooooooooo!" after just about every pitch.
  13. Prince goes opposite field again! Nice jack, and the Brewers lead 1-0.
  14. Woot! Some of the best at-bats of the season for 'Rillo and Weeks there in the 8th...they were both really dialed in. Could this be a possible "springboard" win? There have been oppurtunities for springboard wins twice before tonight in this week alone (the comebacks against the Padres on Thursday and Cardinals on Saturday), but both games were followed up by disappointing losses. I'm hoping one of these wins like tonight will really help these guys get on track, not merely provide a quick spark of great, error-free baseball before going back to subpar performances.
  15. "Solo homers aint nothin'"---Uecker. I'm pretty confident that we will get to Harang (though I'm sure it won;t happen now that I said it http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif ), and Jackson does look pretty good so far.
  16. Nice at bat for Rickie to start the game...Works the count full, fouls a couple off, and then beats it out for the infield single.
  17. Jackson went right after the Padres in his last start (10 hits, only 1 or 2 walks). I think the Reds lineup might rattle him a bit more, and he could give up a few early walks, and that ever popular Cincinnati Reds 3-run homer. I just don't think he will be as good today (please let me be wrong). I say let Jenks sit today, as days off during slumps usually treat him well. Let Hart get the start in right and put him in the 7-hole with Billy Hall 3rd in the order. It looks like our bats are going to need to do most of the work this series, and in the words of Jim Powell, the bats can "carry around the pitching for a couple more weeks." Let's get this series off on the right foot. GO CREW! Edit: I said season. I meant series.
  18. This team just can't seem to get any momentum. The Thursday and Saturday games both could've served as springboards to get back over .500, but instead are followed up with ugly losses. Unfortunately I had to miss the game for my high school graduation and I just got home (Bush vs. Suppan is WAY more important. I don't know what they were thinking in scheduling the ceremony then http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif ) We need to take some pitching with us to Cincinnati, or else it will be a loooooong 3 days. And in the spirit of jloos's signature, you can't spell Jenkins without a K. We need him to start making contact again. Tough series overall, but oh well, GO CREW!
  19. Wow. Sounded like a great game tonight. I was able to catch snippets of it on the radio, including Brady's injury. Good to see Hart come through...as well as Turnbow going 1-2-3. I'm wondering who's going to start in CF tomorrow if Brady's shoulder is bugging him...I still have a feeling it'll be Gross.
  20. Is this not the worst baseball you've seen since.....?
  21. Finally. Get this lead back. Play some real baseball, not this garbage from the past two innings.
  22. Pathetic. Edit: Worst inning of Brewers baseball this year.
  23. There's a lot of good chatter going on at the Cardinals fan site posted above. There's even a thread..."Why the Brewers scare me" Ahhh, if only.....
  24. Man, maybe I should call it a ballgame after the eighth inning more often. Great determination by the Crew to get the win (though the error by Greene helped juuuust a bit). That benching of Hall helped him a lot i think, and he's showed it the past few games. Good lord, no day off...let's beat those Cardinals!
