  1. Greinke's gotta be careful with the meatballs tonight. As I'm sure Rock will remind us 17 times in the 1st inning, the Cubs ambush fastballs, and he was leaving them over the plate in Chicago and got rocked. OTOH, look at Fielder's slash line vs Z. Wow. I predict he snaps out of the homer-less funk tonight.
  2. Me neither. Looks like a pretty good control pitcher based on his walk rate
  3. Curveball pitchers like Yo always scare me in the high altitude at Coors. I remember Sheeter always struggling there, and more recently Chad Billingsley also has had trouble getting good break on what is usually one of the league's nastiest curves
  4. Not sure if this has been mentioned, but CC's last walk-off Sac Fly before today was on the last day before the All Star break in 2008...against Cordero and the Reds.
  5. This seems as good a place as any to point out that Rickie Weeks has baseball's third highest WAR since the start of 2010, trailing only Bautista and Votto, and beating out guys like Pujols, Hamilton, and Cabrera
  6. I don't mind the infield in. I'd like to see numbers, but it seems like the odds of a hit through the infield don't increase too much with the infield in, at least not enough to outweigh the potential saved run
  7. It didnt even look like Yo was missing. He was just honestly nibbling at the plate with the pitcher up. That was pathetic
  8. Man, Scott Baker may be one of the more underappreciated pitchers in baseball. Gonna be a tough one tonight.
  9. So far this has been the absolute worst possible start
  10. Its a shame TBS is blacked out here. I would love to hear BA as a neutral observer. Also, this is probably our best defensive outfield since 2008, at least.
  11. Fenway Park has the best centerfield camera in the game, IMO
  12. Sloppy game...I think George's early screw-ups with runners on 3rd set the tone.
  13. Crap, I thought I was the only one feeling a blowout tonight. No it's not a rational thought, but I feel like Narve will give up 4 in the 1st and Z will get 11 Ks in 7 innings. Edit: or there's a rainout. That works too.
  14. This may be as poorly as I've seen RRR manage, taking into account the lineup, the squeeze, and the 8th inning
  15. Wolf doesn't have the command yet. Getting out of the inning with a reasonable PC would be sweet.
