  1. Oh for goodness sakes... This feels incredibly ominous.
  2. sheethead, the game isn't over. Come on, this is still dangerous.
  3. Count me in as someone who appreciates the half inning recaps. It's only a few extra posts, and allows you to go back and look at every play in the game without digging through mlb.com, Yahoo sports, or espn.com first.
  4. oh wow, looks like a fight broke out.. everyone behind the plate is watching.... Either... 1. Brewers fan vs. Cubs fan (we know who wins) 2. Cubs fan vs. Cubs fan ("Dusty Sucks!"---"No! He REALLY sucks!) 3. Cubs fan vs. Cubs fan ("Dusty you ^#&@!!!"---"Hey ^%. I'm trying to enjoy this game with my kid!") Just speculating...
  5. Let me just mention how much I love Ryan Dempster. He does his best to let my team win. Wow the Cubs fans are angry. Let's get another one here and make it easier for D-Bow. The way this game has gone, I wouldn't rule anything out.
  6. If the Cubs' bats are as quiet as they have been lately (all season for that matter), Jackson should do OK. He likes to pound the zone, and if no one in the Cubs lineup can hit, then he will be effective. Someone mentioned before that Derrek Lee might provide a spark that really jump starts these guys...I'm sure he will, just hopefully not in this series or the one next week. I get the feeling that Zambrano will be effective tonight, but let's hope that doesn't happen. Get to him early boys!
  7. Let's get out the bats. Since Saturday's fourth inning, this offense has been dormant. Here's to at least 7 runs and a strong outing by Cappy...GO CREW!
  8. I don't think our offense could look any more lethargic today. What will it take to even see a full count?
  9. We're not gonna win today. I can feel it. Same here.
  10. Yeesh, thank goodness we are playing the Royals or that could;ve been really bad.
  11. I don't mind getting outplayed by a bad team. There isn't any shame in losing then. Tonight was not one of those games. The Royals played Royals baseball but the Brewers gave them the game in the 4th. It hurts. Gotta go after them tomorrow. Salvage this series.
  12. The Baseball Gods are deliberately taunting us by putting runners at the corners with 2 outs but then having nothing out of it. They love to see us get ours hopes up and then crush them. Pseudo-Melodrama-aside, Go Weeks!
  13. It's early, but it feels like we're cooked tonight. The offense will be too shell-shocked to do anything, and the Royals win 8-5. This 5th inning is the time to get off the mat, not in the 7th or 8th.
  14. Hit and run...and a sac fly. Nice small ball, i like it.
  15. is anyone else really worried about playing Kansas City? 'Cause I am. If the Brewers walk into town with the "It's OK, its just the Royals" sentiment, they will probably at least lose two out of three. You can't argue that the Royals are by far the worst team in baseball, but that doesn't take from the fact that they took 2 out of 3 in Houston against the 'Stros. Play with the focus and determination that they did last weekend vs. Cleveland and they'll be fine. Neglect the Royals and we've got a disaster on our hands with many brewerfan.com-mers jumping out of windows. Anyway, good win today, with another solid outing by Cappy. Gotta love that guy. Props to Barnwell and Weeks coming up big, and props to Crew fans for another 30,000+ crowd.
  16. Yeah, Wise needs some work, and Ned knows that. So why was he even out there? Kolb and Shouse have both been solid, and their tendencies to force grounders would be greater against a homer happy Tigers lineup.
  17. This guys need to stop swinging at the first pitch...With Miller, how many in a row is that? Take a pitch and maybe we can get to him!
  18. Runner on second who shouldn't be there (HBP, Wild Pitch). If he scores here I will be very dissapointed as 1 run looks like it will go a long way today. Edit: Billy with a strong throw. Now take a pitch or two!
  19. Davis mows down the Tigers the first time through...That lineup never ended...Crikey! There are no holes anywhere there. I doubt he'll be as lucky the 2nd time through, but still a good start.
  20. Quite simply, Davis has to be on today. Walking Tigers and then making mistakes in the zone to the guys behind them will find us behind big and early and out of it. That said, DD has been good, and I have a feeling we can get to Bonderman.
  21. It happened to me in an IGT a few days ago. I thought I had maybe accidentally done something wrong...
