  1. His defense (and the team's as a whole) has cost us a lot of wins. I think you're probably overstating your case there. First, how many games where he committed an error did we even lose, and how many of those could you say we directly lost because of the error? It's probably not that many, surely not "lots".
  2. Are you talking about when you're in a particular forum looking at the topic list, or on the main page, marking all forums as read? I see the link no problem.
  3. Al, when the heck did you sleep?? I can't imagine that schedule.
  4. They can't verify your identity some other way? Clearly they did something to get you the id in the first place. Seems a little ridiculous.
  5. I agree with Hart and Braun being the highest priority. As good as Prince will probably be, it's a lot easier to replace a 1B (or move someone else there), then find a mashing OF or 3B. Hardy would be nice, but is probably fairly replaceable, especially if he plays more like his 2nd half than the 1st. Obviously the latter would make him one of the best SS in the MLB, and thus much more attractive. Of course, it's also important to remember that Jack has 6 years to find a replacement for some of these guys. If our farm system doesn't consistently produce good players, then we'll have a problem.
  6. Well, for Ray King and another player TBD. Probably equivalent to Sarfate for King.
  7. Yup, this doesn't need another thread.
  8. Or, if it's pretty decent, just move Braun to LF and be done with it.
  9. He can replace a DL'd player, if need be. If Parra takes much more than 2 weeks to recover (heck, maybe even if he's "okay" then), he'd be one option for King to replace. We really shouldn't have a need for Parra in the playoffs anyway..
  10. Interestingly enough, I filled my queue with mostly foreign films and documentaries Looks like we have pretty similar tastes. Of that list, I hated Squid, but have seen and enjoyed most of the others there.
  11. BB/HH, next time you need to choose a non-alliterative non-Braun name, it'll make it harder to figure out.
  12. Wait, do you know something Rotoworld doesn't?
  13. Per Rotoworld, Brewers are calling up CV, Spurling, Aquino, Nix, Gwynn, and Rottino.
  14. Since there was already a thread started about that possibility, let's keep it there: http://forum.brewerfan.net/viewtopic.php?t=7609
  15. I was looking at the standings today, and was struck by the fact that yet again, we're awesome at home and getting killed on the road, even through this bad stretch. Home: 40-25 - #1 in MLB Road: 25-40 - #4 worst in MLB This is happening multiple years now. What the heck is the problem and at what point will a Brewers team start winning road games? It's killing us.
  16. That's because their owner demands results, not excuses and they have the playoff and World Series appearances to attest to the success of his methods. Yes, and the reason they won earlier and are losing now is surely because Garner has lost his ability to manage.
  17. Please go and read the rules of conduct again. You pretty much composed a perfect example of how *not* to post around here.
  18. For crying out loud, people, it's an honest question, and perhaps you read the first part and missed the point of the post: Outside of the Brewers, who would you choose to follow? You don't need to break out snide comments about bandwagon jumping.
  19. Yeah, no matter how you slice it, pitching has collapsed. Perhaps Villy as a starter would have been a better move, but probably not to a dramatically different result.
  20. I'm absolutely shocked that you're able to find examples of people that were okay. I thought it was a law of nature that arm problems resulted 100% of the time. Back in my day, pitchers would throw 5 days a week and hit homers on their off days! And they liked it! http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/bcf3527142a59b7dd5956373445213b8b26ea5e.jpg
  21. Is finding some super cheap car out of the question?
  22. Yes, but Yo wasn't ready, and if you're trying to get to the playoffs, you don't go and create holes in your rotation when you don't have anything to fill it with. I don't think they were in any position to trade pitching. edit: I supposed you could have plugged in Villy, but he was certainly an invaluable piece of our bullpen in the first half, so I'm not sure how that would've affected things.
  23. Take out the games from Aug 12 -15 when he had for of these homeruns and his stats fall. Gee, if you remove a third of a sample, it changes completely. I'm shocked!
  24. This seems like the same basic idea as this one. Perhaps discussion should be moved over there?
