    lcbj68c, getting autos in the lot is a different from Autograph fridays. AF are from 5:45 - 6:05 in the stadium. People go to the parking lot for autos before and after the game with varying degrees of success.

    Up until the last month Yost has rarley gone out and chewed out pitchers. I don't remember him chewing out other players in public at all. Yost has been doing this all season. The first time was back in April during a Brewers/Cubs game. The Brewers had tied the game the inning before and Villanueva couldn't find the strike zone. Yost popped out and gave his "one way conversation". I'll give Yost credit trying to instill a "performance counts" attitude in his pitchers, but that kind of on the mound dress down has started to become routine. You almost expect it now, where as before, if Ned came out there and gave you, the pitcher, an earful you might think, "wow, Ned doesn't do that very often, I better get me act together". Now it's kind of like when the Cardinals are down and Tony LaRussa starts arguing with the umpires. It might have fired up his team in the past, but now it's like "oh come on, drop the act."

    Now that more info is coming out and it seems that Graffy & Estrada - being veteran clubhouse guys - were defending one of their younger teammates I wonder if Johnny "the clubhouse cancer" Estrada will get an apology from all the people who jumped all over him for this today. jsonline - Tony Graffanino, then Estrada, came to the defense of a teammate who they thought had been unfairly singled out by Yost for poor play. In an interview with the Journal Sentinel later in the day, Yost confirmed that Graffanino and Estrada were defending a teammate. Yost said it was unfortunate the incident was being interpreted by some as a problem between him and Estrada. "Nothing could be farther from the truth," Yost said. "For Johnny Estrada to be portrayed as the villain in this, as somebody who instigated it, is not even close. To be honest, Johnny stepped up to protect his teammates."

    A little more clarification from AOL Sports: "When the half-inning ended, Estrada and Yost got into a heated dispute in the tunnel leading from the dugout to the clubhouse. Infielder Tony Graffanino stepped between them while pitcher Ben Sheets and pitching coach Mike Maddux stood in front of Estrada. The next inning, Yost motioned with his finger for Estrada to come talk with him, and they disappeared out of sight down the tunnel. Asked if such a conflict could spur a team, Yost said, "We'll see." He then abruptly walked out of his postgame news conference. Estrada declined comment through a team spokesman. "It's our business," Brewers first baseman Prince Fielder said. "It's team business. I think it's good for the players, for us, we go over some business stuff and it should put us back on track." Bill Hall insisted there aren't any problems in the Brewers clubhouse, "I know that for a fact," Hall said. "Everybody is fine with everybody." Corey Hart homered twice for Milwaukee, which lost two of three in the series. The Brewers led the NL Central by 8 1/2 games on June 21, but their defeat Wednesday night dropping them out of first place for the first time since April 21. "We'll stick together," Geoff Jenkins said. "We'll be fine."

    Yeah I think its pretty similar. But not exactly. It looks nice, and so far its the only JJ bobble so its kind of cool. Well, it's the first JJ Bobble that doesn't cost $145, anyway. (Actually, there was a knucklehead a few years ago too, but I know what your saying)

    Thanks for the tip. I'll make my way up there tomorrow and take a look at the bobble. Sounds like it might be worth grabbing.

    but now that he has been optioned I do believe he is now out of options. I have a basic understanding of how options work, but can someone explain the following from the JS: Weeks had one minor-league option left, which won't count unless he stays down at least 18 days. I've never heard of the "18 days rule". If he returns in say 2 weeks does that mean his option wasn't used. (oops, I see someone right before me mentioned this as well)

    BillyHallFan, have you noticed a significant price different between the two? I haven't but I figure you watch that stuff a little closer than I. I know that the 3 pack referred to in the first post in this thread has old for over $90 previously on ebay. I've got those 3 though, so I haven't paid much attention to the final prices (of the 3pack) lately. It's at less than $10 right now but you got to figure that will rise, it still has 5 days left.

    I watch this show as well. I'm a big "Law & Order" tv guy anyway so I tend to watch all the spin offs. To answer your question I much preferred ADA Cabot, not to say I dislike ADA Novak. Any truth to the rumor that Adam Beach (who guest starred as a Brooklyn Detective last season) is joining the cast full time? If so I wonder who he might replace.

    I've never heard of that. The Brewers position players begin their field work (including BP) about 4:10 for a 7pm start time. Before that however, pitchers come out for BP and to do their defensive drills, then shortly after 4 the rest of the team comes out and does their team stretching in center field before breaking up. Thats when BP begins. They hit for about an hour. Unfortunately, this means that when the gates open at 5:30, the Brewers are nearing the end of their work. Every once in a while, like the last game vs the Rockies, they will mix things up and have the visitors take early BP. For the life of me I can't remember the reason given that particular day. I remember the guy telling me why, but I forgot. Anyhow, I've never seen anyone in the park prior to the gates opening for BP. I have seen a few people sneak in and play the "I didn't know I can't be in here yet" card though.

    How so? I disagree, no one is getting mad, just disappointed. I haven't seen a single "oh this is bull crunch, Doug" type posts.

    Red Sox Close To Acquiring Gagne According to Ken Rosenthal, the Red Sox are the winner of the Eric Gagne sweepstakes pending Gagne's consent and a review of medical records. Rosenthal says Gagne might share the closer role with Jonathan Papelbon; it would not be shocking to see Papelbon become the setup man for the rest of the year. No word on which prospects went to Texas yet. Noooo

    This is just a guess, but perhaps he and his agent had the foresight to assumed that only a few teams would seriously entertain any thoughts about trading for him, teams with deep pockets like the "Big 3". Then when one of those teams tried to get him, he could hold them over a barrel and negotiate a new deal in exchange for waiving his no trade clause. They probably assumed teams like Milwaukee wouldn't get into the bidding, therefore no need to block us. Just a thought

    Well it seems the Yanks and Mets are out. That would leave the Red Sox & Brewers. "The Red Sox would probably give up David Murphy and the Brewers would surrender Tony Gwynn Jr. If the Rangers would settle for Gwynn, a deal could happen quickly because Gagne cannot veto a trade there. However, he can block a move to Boston and that would present another obstacle. " Could TGJ really be the centerpiece of this deal? If so maybe we won't have to give up as much as I originally thought.

    Brewers Jump into Gagne trade talks "Melvin would only say "no comment" Monday night when asked specifically about his interest in Gagne. But he regularly shoots down trade rumors if they are false and did not do so regarding Gagne. "I'm talking to three or four clubs about different things, It's fair to say I'm looking to improve the club."

    Other than some guy who submitted a question, who is suggesting that CoCo is tired? Certainly not McCalvy. Talk about making a big deal about nothing. Adam even points out that it is unlikely that that is the case. He points out the Coco is on pace for career norms in appearances and innings pitched.

    Get there early and be prepared to stay all day . Coaches roll in anywhere from 7am (Yost & Sveum) to noon. Players will start coming in around noon as well. Most, if not all, players and coaches will be in the park by 3pm. Once you get there there are plenty of regulars to help you out. Follow their lead. If you get there by 11am or so you should get a nice haul. One more word of advice, avoid the group of guys (& gals) who look like they have no job and camp out around Miller Park all day everyday trying to get autographs and cheap tickets without giving a second thought about personal hygiene. You'll know them when you see them. They have a bad reputation with lot attendants, ushers and players. If your trying to get an autograph, you don't want to be associated with them. Remember that you need to get your car out of the park and reenter with a parking pass or face a long walk home.
