  1. I understood this differently. I thought I read that if 60 or more games are canceled, the TV contracts extend into 2029.
  2. 2:29pm: Levine quickly walked back his report, citing a Cubs source in adding that while the team has indeed been exploring the rotation market at large, they’ve yet to have specific discussions with the Mets regarding Peralta. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2026/05/mets-trade-rumors-freddy-peralta-cubs.html
  3. Yes, he was in the dugout with the team for the Cubs series. I assume for the entire series, but I only made a note of it once.

  5. It probably has more to do with the fact that local news is comparatively cheap to produce for the affiliates.
  6. I was in NYC for the opening series. I had the "wonderful" experience of watching the 20-run outburst by the Yankees... The stadium was very underwhelming, and the outcome (from a Brewers fan perspective) sucked, but the crowd was amazing. From before the first pitch and throughout the game, they were chanting, cheering, and being generally loud. I LOVED the energy. Music between every pitch, never a lull... the Yankees carry themselves differently. I wouldn't call them "friendly" or rude, but Yankee fans know who they are - That's for sure. There were maybe a half dozen Brewer fans on the subway, but I was actually surprised by the lack of Brewer fans in the stadium. I was maybe a dozen rows behind the Brewers dugout and saw .... maybe three other Brewers fans. I thought we travelled better. Overall, I'm glad to have been there (Yankee Stadium), but I really walked away with a greater appreciation for the AmFam experience. We have a great place to watch our team.
  7. How is it odd? It's not a new site. It's the "Major League Baseball" site, and he is banned from Major League Baseball.
  8. I'm not validating his story; just pointing out the signatures in the photo.
  9. I can make out all but a handful of signatures. Hope this helps. Larry Haney Bill Castro Buck Rodgers George Bamberger John McCormick (Clubhouse Attendant) Lorn Brown (Broadcaster) Ross Doman (Batboy) Curt Rayer (Trainer) Reggie Cleveland Moose Haas Bob Mcclure Steve Rinn (Batboy) John Flinn Paul Mitchell Don Money Ben Ogilvie Robin Yount (Hall of Fame) Cecil Cooper Lary Sorensen Gorman Thomas Jerry Augustine Vic Harris Jim Gantner Buck Martinez Mark Brouhard Cal McLish Sixto Lezcano Tom Ferguson (Vice President) Bob Sullivan (Equipment Manager) Dick Davis Ron Hansen Charlie Moore
  10. I'm curious what you're seeing to come to this conclusion. I understand that Bally's is far from out of trouble, but they are not shutting down tomorrow. The Braves, Tigers, Twins (and other?) games disappearing from TV today is a carriage issue (with Comcast), not due to Bally's financial problems. Those games are still airing on other cable providers. For example, they just signed (are super close to?) a new deal with DirecTv and are in negotiations with Comcast. This is the same thing that happened a while back when ESPN and ABC were dropped from Comcast during a carriage negotiation. The last thing I saw was that things were turning semi-optimistic for Bally's after some restructuring, the new cable carriage deals, and the infusion of cash from Amazon.
  11. I'd say the Club level (300 level) should get some consideration. There are fewer people in general (by design), and the sections are only 7 rows deep with extra width and legroom and decently wide walkways behind the last room. There is also an elevator to get you up and down the levels. The elevator is on the 3rd base side, and - I'm going from memory - but I think section 340 (plus or minus in either direction) would be a safe bet. As I think about this, there are some steps from the enclosed concourse to the seating bowl to consider, too. But there is a railing. RE: Parking. The "Brewers 2" lot has accessible parking closest to the clock tower, which is where the elevator to the Club level is located. The Aaron lot also has several rows of accessible parking right in front of the home plate entrance. I hope this helps.
  12. I could be wrong here, but the way I read about this is that Amazon invested in a minority stake in DSG (AKA Bally) and acquired the streaming rights, but not the broadcast rights to a number of teams (including the Brewers). This clears a path for Amazon to offer a DTC option, but probably not until 2025. Bally will still broadcast games in 2024 on TV providers that carry Bally. AFAIK they renewed with DirecTV at the end of 2023, and I think the Charter/Spectrum deal with Bally was set to expire on 02/29/2024 (AKA yesterday), but I never saw (also didn't look for) anything about a renewal, but I assume we would have heard about it if it wasn't. As for Bally and DSG beyond 2024... we'll see.
  13. 100% agree. You nailed each of my talking points. Plus I enjoy that the sections are small; just 7 rows deep with good leg room.
  14. I'll leave this here for you... https://hot102radio.com/ Enjoy.
  15. "Here's my recipe for Milwaukee dogs. Use these types of onions. Or not. Use this kind of dog. Or not. Slice your jalapeno this way. Or not. Want some pickles? Go for it, no one cares..." As someone who rarely follows a recipe, and just wants a hot dog...this speaks to me.

  19. From Forbes: "Revenue from tickets, parking and concessions account for roughly 40% of revenue for pro baseball, he said, but for a small market like Milwaukee, ticket revenue is more significant. The Covid-19 pandemic cut the team’s schedule from its traditional 162 games to a truncated 60-game slate. That meant instead of teams having 81 home games, each club hosted just 30 games. Perhaps more notably, teams played their games without fans in the stands due to social-distancing considerations. The result: More than $5 billion in lost revenue across the league, according to TMR’s calculations. The New York Yankees topped the list, with an estimated $437 million in game-day revenue lost compared with what the Yankees might have drawn with fans attending a traditional 81-game home schedule. The Brewers were not far behind at No. 13, with $178.3 million in projected game-day revenue lost. The team had attendance of 2.92 million during the 2019 season, or an average of 36,091 per game, which ranked within the top 10 in MLB that season."
  20. Just came back from Vegas, I can tell you that Lyft/Uber drivers are waaaaay lacking right now. Long, long waits for every Lyft we took, rush/peak or not. Interesting. Just got back from Nashville and had 0 issues. Thanks for the tips. Went with the Renaissance for the hotel. Same. Spend 6 days in NYC. Uber was never more than 2 minutes from us. YMMV.
  21. For sure. It constantly turns into a dive down the rabbit hole, and even when you find a streamer that is up and running, there is no assurance that the quality isn't going to be crap. But here we are. MLB has made it pretty difficult for baseball fans to watch their home team's games. A similar alternative is paying for an IPTV service that takes all of those streams and presents them in a traditional TV grid/guide interface. A quality picture on a full-sized TV, all teams, no blackouts, and no need to stream hop for a good feed. I'm not advocating for any particular service - do your homework and use a VPN if you plan on going this route.
  22. PM Me. I can help.
  23. The shirt is from the "MLB Genuine Merchandise" line produced by VF image wear in the late 2000's early 2010's. It came in Blue/White, Gold/White, and Powder Blue. Sorry, I don't know anyone your dad went to college with.
