  1. I see that Vuckovich isn't even signing autographs for this.. I saw that. He was the main person I wanted. I've got Molly a few times (bats and balls mostly) & Yount (Bats & Balls mostly). I've got a few Coops & Fingers. Gantner is fairly easy to obtain, I've got much of the "b" squad from that year as well. Oh well, we'll see.
  2. That poster, I somwhat remember it. What did it look like? It had Yount and Molitor in the Brewers Pin Striped pants with a batman like armored chest plates standing next to a Ferrari holding toy guns with the caption "Batman & Robin"
  3. I'd certainly be interested. We were planning on going Saturday. Let me know.
  4. If your ever in the selling (or trading) mood with regards to that poster let me know. I've got lots of stuff to offer in a trade, including Paul Molitor bats. I had that poster for years before it was destroyed. I've been trying to track another one down for about 5 years. Can I ask where you got it? As for your question, I'm not sure I can give you a good answer because I assume the Brewers will have a procedure in place unlike the one for autograph Fridays. I'd call the Brewers and ask them if their doing wrist bands for Molitor & Yount as was rumored. If they run this like they do the autograph Fridays, expect a lot of disappointment and anger.
  5. I noticed Hart looking back while watching the game, but I didn't notice Lidge pointing to his eyes or anything. For all we know Hart was looking at the scoreboard. I did go back and watch it again. Lidge does go to his face with his hand, but it was very quick. Could be that he was wiping sweat from his brow? I don't know. What ever he did, he seemed to be looking straight ahead while Hart was already walking toward the dugout. I don't think it was anything. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v454/ilookback/eyes.jpg
  6. Yeah, I hit the rewind to hear it again. Sounds like he was really taking a leadership position with the team. I know Yost said he wanted Graffy to spend as much time as possible with the club in September, for just that reason.
  7. chiltonno1brewerfan, not trying to be rude but...can you hit the caps key please. Thats two straight post I've come across in all caps. It's hard on the eyes. HE SAID ALL HARVEY KUEHN DID WAS MANAGE THE BREWERS... Right, thats all he did.http://static.yuku.com/v2//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/eyes.gif He was a 10 time All star, Rookie of the year, Batting Champ and a career .300 hitter...what a bum.
  8. Your right, my bad. It was Tuesday the 2nd (not Sunday), a day game that they wore the whites in 91 degree weather.
  9. All I can say is this....ATTENTION MILWAUKEE BREWERS EVENT SERVICES STAFF. GET READY FOR LARGE CROWDS LOOKING FOR AUTOGRAPHS. PLEASE HAVE A GAME PLAN IN PLACE. That is all.
  10. Last Sunday it was pretty hot at Miller Park and they wore the white jerseys. I was surprised because the recent wisdom has been that the blue ones were supposedly the coolest.
  11. I believe that... That Fielder will finish the year with 44 home runs That Braun will finish the year with 29 home runs That Fielder will be snubbed in the MVP vote That Braun will win ROY That Sheets will make 3 more starts this year, win one and lose two finishing at 11-6 That Weeks will hit a home run this weekend That Hardy will hit over .300 from now until the end of the regular season That Capuano will win 4 straight decisions That Suppan will finish 11-11 That Dillon will be over matched the rest of the way That Linebrink will pitch so well it will hurt when he leaves That Turnbow will pitch so well we'll let Linebrink and Coco leave. That Mench will hit less than 2 home runs the rest of the season That Jenkins will hit 20 home runs That the Brewers will win the division That Jenkins will be a post season bright spot for the Brewers That the Brewers will play a full 5 games in the first round And finally, I believe that most of my predictions will not come true.
  12. Have we lost the ability to tear a ticket stub? I know it's an old fashioned idea, but...
  13. You have to forgive me, it's just that I'm so old...http://static.yuku.com/v2//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/wink.gif
  14. How is that the truth? The Brewers sell the partial ticket plan on the idea that you are becoming a season ticket holder. So all the partial season ticket holders, who make up more than half the entire season ticket base, aren't really season ticket holders? Boy oh boy, I don't think thats the way the Brewers want to market things. You misread what he said. The guy entered the stadium on one ticket and worked the bobble attendants for multiple bobbles. = stealing. I can understand how people might think it's not really a big deal, nothing to get all worked up about, but here's the thing. There are a lot of us who want to collect the bobbles and do so legitimately. We're not buying 20 tickets, were not hustling for extras, we're not walking out with giant bag fulls of bobbles. But things are getting screwed up and people are getting upset and turned off by a minority of people, like the guy Matt reported. I'd hate to lose a popular promotion because of that kind of stuff. edit : I walked away from my computer before I hit reply. I didn't see your reply D.O.A.
  15. Judging from your screen name I'll just assume your thee Rickey Weeks. And how old do you have to be before you can recognize a potentially fictitious facebook account? And, at what age do you consider a person "old"? Are you part of the "don't trust anyone over 25" crowd. I'm 30. I have a facebook account. Where does that leave me? It's not like I'm out of touch with the younger crowd, I mean my brother is 24 and my best friend is 22. I know meeting a player when he's in AA is different from meeting a player once he's reached the big leagues. Things change, these guys put a value on privacy you and I can't fathom. These guys have agents and lawyers, not to mention the players union, reminding them, teaching them how to keep their lives as private as possible. The first rule being don't conduct personal business in a wide open private forum like facebook. I'll concede that they all may have had active facebook accounts, I'll go as far as to say it's even likely. But I'm also willing to bet that once these guys reach a certain level of fame, tagging each others walls was no longer their primary source of communication.
  16. During the season the mail is sorted and distributed to the players lockers. During the off season, the mail is redirected to the players homes. In a related topic, here is a great story about a guy who got an auto in the mail...15 years after he sent it out.
  17. It's hit and miss. There are times I don't get into line until 5:15 and still got Braun, Gywnn (who had a huge line), Hall, & Turnbow. Last Friday I did something I never do - I got there at 4:15 and was about 15th in line and I only came home with Yost. I usually just goes to which ever line is closest to where I come in and who looks like I can get him. I take my son to every Friday game and he's not real picky. If you are set on a player, say Jenkins, just get there early and be prepared. That means know exactly where he'll be, position yourself as close as possible to that sections entrance and run once they get the gate open. Fortunately, I have enough autos not to worry to much and get all worked up about these events, but man oh man, some of these guys take this stuff seriously. So be prepared to deal with some die hards.
  18. If they are real lets ask Rickie to use a picture I can't find on google images. How about a classic "myspace" pose with Weeks holding a camera up to the mirror, or my personal favorite - holding the camera way up in the air looking down. Anyway, this is my all time favorite picture of Lyle Overbay & Bill Hall. It was taken by the same person who took the Weeks photo. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v454/ilookback/crazyOverbayhall.jpg
  19. Yep, last time it was huge.
  20. Quick things. Get there by 5 (at least) to get in line, Gates open at 5:30. Call (or check the website the day of) for the exact location CC will be signing at. When the park opens go straight to that section and get in line. Players come out at 5:45 for 20 minutes. They will sign more or less anything, bats, bobbles, balls ect... If oyu don't have anything, the Brewers provide photos. The lines for the "big guys" fill up in a matter of seconds once the doors open - seriously. People go all out bananas. CC should be easy enough to get however, so don't worry to much. And finally, there is virtually no chance to get Hall and someone else. Counsell and someone else (a coach), perhaps. Halls line is going to be huge, you won't have enough time.
  21. whats even weirder I got it back a week after I changed my user name! He was waiting until you provided him with the proper respect.
  22. No problem, I couldn't find it either for a while.
  23. He saw a guy who kept going through the bobblehead line getting multiple bobbles on one ticket. Matt saw him and said something to one usher who blew him off, then he said something to another usher. When the ushers approached this guy he told them it was the other way around, that Matt was the one going through the line over and over. This guy was sent on his way while Matt was asked to leave the stadium. I think I got that right.
  24. I did just go look for his account. The photo associated with the account has Weeks in street clothes (to make it look real?) but it's a photo widely available on the internet, one taken by a blogger/groupie. Take that for what it's worth. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v454/ilookback/weekshardy.jpg
  25. I'm not saying his facebook account is fake (and to clarify I haven't seen it) but keep in mind all MLB players are cautioned against using public forums like that, at least in a way that reveals their identity. The players association runs classes every year for young players and one of the things they touch on is how to keep your privacy. Just something to keep in mind.
