  1. Well, I consider myself a bat collector and I find that almost all game used bats that are available (reasonably priced) are cracked. For the most part, thats why they are available. Bats get used till they break. I have 18 signed or game used Brewers bats in addition to the two dozen misc bats and all but the a few are cracked. Thats just the way it is. Most are cracked in a way that does not detract from the look of the bat. None of my bats have any large chunks missing. No biggie.
  2. I got them so cheap (relatively speaking) even my S.O. didn't get mad at me.
  3. BC, I just purchased a lot of 24 game used bats. When they arrive I'll PM you. I'm sure I can find you a nice bat suitable for what you want, and under your price too. All the bats were spring training and arizona fall league excess.
  4. The Prince bobblehead game is the same as the Bill Hall pink bat game. Sweet, I'll be leaving the park a happy man.
  5. If your not in a hurry and have some time to wait out a deal, you can usually find game used pro stock Louisville sluggers for under $25. There have no name on the bat, but many have pine tar/tape on the handles. They display nice and are good for random autos. Otherwise a new unused L.S. can also be had for about the same amount. Get a nice black LS for Jenk's. His signature is "ok", so a nice looking bat will help make it a nice piece.
  6. First off, it's mattsr0625's bat. We were at the game together. I just want to clear that up. As for the bat, it's a full sized, game used, cracked Jeff Cirillo bat. He got it on ebay last year. He got an absolute steal. I was very jealous at the time because JC is one of my all time favorite players. The only reason I didn't bid on it is because we have an understanding - we don't bid against each other. The first person to find it, gets first dibbs on it. If you look through matts pictures I'm pretty sure he has a photo of the bat.
  7. Sorry I didn't see this earlier, but yes he is a fantastic trader.
  8. I've spent a lot more than that on several bobbleheads. $32 in not out of line at all.
  9. If I can speak for Matt, since we were there together, this lady offered him $150. Considering he paid just $8 for the bat, I said do it, but he didn't.
  10. I've come to the conclusion that I am to blame for the Brewers recent slide. I'm sorry I didn't identify the problem sooner, but rest assured the problem is fixed and we will win today. This past weekend I posted this picture on my website with the caption "Brewers offense so strong they need 2 runners at every base" http://www.gobrewersgo.com/2runners.jpg Since then we have lost 4 straight, been out scored 27-12 and nearly been no hit. I'm sorry! Seriously, lets come home with a win. Were still 10 games over and 4.5 up. Go Brewers!
  11. Ok, you got me. Check your inbox. I want the Molitor & the Yount set.
  12. Matt, what about this case? I heard nothing about that, sound cool.
  13. My oldest bats look as good today as they did 20 years ago. I've got almost 20 bats and none have suffered any ill effects that I contribute to keeping them out on display. I am pretty careful not to knock the bats around, and when I do move them I put them in something (like a tube). There are clear acrylic bat hooks that you can use to hang bats, but I use metal hooks. It loops around the handle and mounts to the wall.
  14. I know that I am probably in the minority here, but I don't like most of the single bat display cases I see. I used to keep my bats in display cases but I stopped using them years ago. Now I simply hang them from the wall, which I think works well with the number of bats I have. http://gobrewersgo.com/bats.jpg
  15. Yeah, Telemundo will do 13 games this year, 2 of which have already aired. I'm pretty sure this Sundays game will be on TM. Check the Brewers website, on the ticket schedule it shows what channel will broadcast the game.
  16. Ha, you've been saying that for 20 years!
  17. Matt, come find me when you get there - I want some of your "extra bobble head" magic to rub off on me. Now that I think about it, I do know a few people that are going to the game that have zero interest in brewers/bobbles. Maybe I can get one of them to part with a bobble. Shouldn't be hard. And not to hijack, but Jamie - did you get the tickets I sent out? I don't want to cash your check until I am certain you got them.
  18. ...in the 5 counties.
  19. Yeah, but it's an exhibition game where the parent teams field minor leaguers.
  20. So what's the listing fee for something like that?
  21. clarktoys.com I pre-ordered 4 of them months ago.
  22. I purchased it for the new Bob Uecker segment. The "Making of" piece was ok. There are a few deleted scenes (mostly involving Ueck), a commentary and an alternate ending. It's $10 at Walmart. So at that price I'd say yeah, it's worth it.
