  1. I have a feeling we are going to get crushed. So do I.....* * Just to mirror yesterday BTW, ove the NL Central Tracker Woogie...
  2. It's funny because I was defending Yost in the chat room with regard to not pinch hitting Counsell, since he may have wanted to save Graffy. Of course, Graffy pinch hits the next AB. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  3. Vargas is the slowest pitcher ever.
  4. I think we are going to get crushed today I have the same feeling.
  5. First time Zambrano is up to bat....Bean the hell out of him. Nail him hard (not in the head..that would be evil), but nonetheless...bean him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Personally, I'd just hire a goon to bash his knee before the game even started. Talk about intimidation!
  6. Anybody else a little worried that the brewers might push a little too hard to beat up on Z? Zambrano said he thought the Reds have a better offense. So what? While I'm sure the Brewers like to prove him wrong today, I'd be surprised if they thought the comments were a big deal.
  7. The first time he used Aquino in a close game Aquino had looked good, was throwing strikes (66% of his pitches had been strikes so far on the year) I don't see how his strike percentage over 7.2 IP can be used as evidence of anything. Aquino has always walked a lot of guys.
  8. If I were Yost, I'd go ahead and find out if Maddux gave Aquino the magic touch when games aren't on the line. You know, like when the Brewers have a 4 run lead. Yost picks his relievers completely backwards.
  9. Yost makes the same mistake many fans do with regard to judging reliever talent. He thinks back to the last couple of games and says, "He's been decent, I'm going to send him in." Aquino isn't a rookie, he has two years of mediocre pitching under his belt. Yost doesn't care about those performances, though. It's the same silliness Yost did last year with Shouse. Shouse had a couple nice outs for him early, so Yost stopped using him as a strict LOOGY with predictable results. He learned his lesson but with a cost. Too bad he had to go through the same process with Aquino.
  10. Turnbow and Cordero had both pitched in the last two games. Wise can't go more than an inning Apparently, only an inning and 2 pitches. Yeh, don't get it either.
  11. Fastball from 94 - 96 MPH to the first batter. No curveball, thought at all. Edit: 3 curves to the second batter.... 1 for a strike.
  12. End was pointing out that Weeks was lights out in AAA but still hasn't put up monster numbers in the majors yet. Braun will most likely not come up and destroy major league hitting.
  13. While I always hope for a complete game shutout, I just want to see Sheets be Sheets and strike some guys out. If he does that, he'll be fine. He just needs to regain command of his curveball.
  14. 1 out away from having 50% more wins than loses!
  15. It's one thing to spout off to the media when you are upset but this is ridiculous. Jenkins and Mench whined publicly, then showed up and played. What Cappy is doing is just plain stupid.
  16. Since, Sheets' ERA is .03 points higher than Bush's, I guess he wins. Now, if you are asking about the significance of that, I think you know the answer http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  17. How many times this season is someone going to say, "contenders don't do this" or "playoff teams to this". You know what playoff teams do? They win enough games to qualify for the post season, that's it.
  18. Perhaps the same should go for T-bow. That was a pretty crucial situation right there, and T-bow has been dealing this year so why not use him there? That's my thought exactly. It makes no sense to go with your 4th or 5th best reliever in high leverage situations. Turnbow shouldn't be the 8th inning guy, he should be the "we need a good reliever" guy. Yost has to understand how to use his better relievers when the game is on the line. And Aquino has done nothing at the major league level. His nice ERA last year is a mirage. I'll bet you he's not even on the 25 man roster by the end of the year.
  19. Hold on, this game isn't going to be preempted for a rerun of the 2003 World Series of Poker? CRAZINESS!
  20. It's really fun to see the Brewers in 1st, even if it's only 12 games into the season.
  21. That's what happens when you call in your 4th (at best ) best reliever to pitch in high leverage situations.
