  1. .290 AVG 20 HR 80 RBI's 25 SB's What OBP? How many caught stealing? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Yeh, I'd take it, BTW, but he's SOOOO much more valuable as a middle infielder.
  2. Does anybody know where you can download statistics (preferably at the lowest level possible (i.e. Player/Game/AB). Any format (.txt, .db, .xls, etc). The easiest thing to do (that I've found): 1. Copy stats from ESPN.com or where ever and save in notepad (take spaces out of team names, WhiteSox for instance). 2. Open in excel (make sure to choose .txt) and choose "delimited" then "next" then "space". At the end of the season I'll do it for league team stats and Brewer stats, so I can shoot them to you if you like.
  3. My Sheet's article http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Ben Sheet's, Beyond W/L
  4. Off the SS's glove... RBI single for Miller. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good! YOST. Resist the temptation for a squeeze play!
  5. I don't get Ohka's numbers at all. 11% of his flyballs result in a HR, which isn't high at all. He IS a flyball pitcher, but hasn't been an extreme one this year. Since coming to Milwaukee his K's have skyrocketed and his walks are down. LINK
  6. starting pitcher's number.
  7. Ohka really isn't that good of a player guys. TRADE HIM.
  8. Hardy can lead off just fine. Even with a crappy BA he has an OK OBP. Since June 25th, Hardy's OBP has been .355. Provided the "no 2 lefties in a row" rule is still in effect for next year: Hardy Weeks Jenkins Lee Fielder Hall Branyan/Cirillo Miller You could flip Weeks and Hardy, but I'd rather Weeks have teh chance for an extra base runner on.
  9. Man, Weeks doesn't look like the Rickie that was called up. If Overbay finishes with a batting average over .280 I win $20 from my buddy. I thought my chances were over after he was batting .270 2 weeks ago. Darn it, a walk. Walks don't raise the batting average, man!
  10. I think most players motivate themselves for individual achievement, if nothing else. They aren't going to not try and hit the ball because they aren't making the playoffs.
  11. Yeh Branyan, you might want to just NOT throw that next time. He's sure lucky it hit the runner's leg.
  12. I know I'm starting to beat this to death but: Trade Overbay, Ohka and Clark for a young starting pitcher and one other prospect. Move Hall to 2B Move Weeks to CF Branyan/Cirillo platoons at 3B
  13. Yes, Prince will be a rookie next year.
  14. I would tell you except I'm wathing "Houst Hunters" with me wife! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  15. I THINK IT'S VERY OBVIOUS THAT THE BREWERS WANT TO PLAY OVERBAY TO INCREASE HIS TRADE VALUE. PRINCE WILL START FOR THE BREWERS FOR THE NEXT 6 YEARS SO CALM DOWN.
  16. Who had "batter 1" for when Weeks would get his first error of the evening?
  17. that's true, but I think there might be a little off-season vacation planning for some of the Reds and Pirates. I think the Brewers are still focused on a legit goal. That would be interesting to study; Whether bad teams play even worse in the last few weeks and vise versa. I understand many will bring up kids just to try them out but I mean the whole "phoning it in" argument.
  18. Going 5-2 isn't a walk in the park, no matter who the opposition is.
  19. 46.4% chance to take atleast 3 (and hopefully finish with a winning season): Series Probabilities -------------------- Sweep 12.4% Win 3 34.0% Win 2 34.9% Win 1: 15.9% Swept 2.7%
  20. 35% chance of having a 5-2 record or better in the last 2 series... you thought it would be BETTER than that? I'm suprised no one mentioned that the Brewers were officially eliminated from the playoffs with their loss yesterday.
  21. The Brewers chances of a winning season are looking pretty good. http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a345/rluzinski/montecarlo7.gif http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a345/rluzinski/montecarlo7histo.gif
  22. I win tonight would make it hard for the Crew NOT to finish atleast .500.
  23. Wow, I think I just got the record for the shortest time an article was the "front page" one http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  24. Out of his 22 starts he has faced "stud" competition only 6 times That's 27% of his starts..... that's alot. I don't think it's typical for a team's #1 to always face another's #1. It's probably close to random. Sheet's hasn't had a great record in the last couple years because the Brewers haven't scored for him. It's really as simple as that.
  25. Hall would sure look nice at 2B next year.... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/grin.gif
