    Even if Clayton was OK, which he's not, I would STILL want Hall to be playing. What is the point of having his old ass out there? Even the White Sox were smart enought o put him on the bench

    Is this the same Bill Hall that made a fool of himself in the major leagues last year? Maybe there are two Bill Halls. Brewers are the king of same name players afterall.

    If EY OR Clayton are on the team next year, I will have lost hope for the current managment!

    Yost is not very bright at all. While I am sure the team appreciates his unstopable enthusiasm, listening to Yost on the pregame show should leave no doubt of his mental capacity. I better see an infield of Helms, Hall, Ginter and Sexson. We won't light the world up with them, but hard to beat the cost. As a side note, Ginter really does belolng at 2B; he's probably average defensively there, and below average at 3B.

    It's starting to look like they HAVE packed it in... On pace for 64-98 and dropping... like a sack of unwanted puppies dropped in the Milwaukee River...

    God, do I despise Clayton. I would liek to know how often he grounds to either the third baseman, or second baseman.

    Wow. I know this is the Braves, but not even the great motivator Yost can keep this team from sucking in the second half? Maybe 100 loses is inevitable...

    If Kinney had scattered the 3 runs throughout the 6 innings, you all would be saying he had a great outing. As it is, he DID pitch very good. Let's not forget that this is his first full year in the bigs.... he may turn out to be a decent #3.

Apparently he has to be up to the bigs by 2006. Sorry, but that does concern me a bit. He'll be in Huntsville next year, and Indionapolis the year after. Hopefully he's ready by then, cus he'll have to be.

    I think we all would appreciate an explaination as to how the majorleague deal he signed affects how many years we can have him before he's a free agent. Apparently NOT 6 years. I can only hope that he idn't that good, so that we aren't all very upset when we can't afford him in 4 years, or whatever.

    Yost just has to be a stubborn man. What else does Ginter have to do. Was Helms hurt?

    Yost likes to rest EY on Sundays..... maybe also the last game of a road trip? Nice to see Hall added to the proud list of players that take at bats away from Ginter. Hard to compete with future Hall of Famers like Helms, Clayton, EY and Cruz. Really, I want Yost to tell me what his plan really is. If he used the words "battle" or "veteran" at any point in his explanation, I think I'd have to pop him in the nose.

    If yost continues his pattern, Clayton will be be batting first soon. How the hell do you bat Clayton second? Clayton didn't even want to bat in the 7 hole when he started off great. Maybe it's because after the 2 intentional walks yesterday, Clayton's OBP saored to .289, and Yost couldn't resist. O wait, I've got it! Yost WANTS Clayton to break the record for most nit into double play mark. Unfortunetely, Clayton wasn't given enough opportunities in the #8 spot. Perfect solution is to put him right after Pods!!! Seriously though, when Pods walked no out and Clayton up, who thought Clayton would even hit it out of the infield. At this point, probably 90% of Clayton's hits are lazy grounders to the SS or 2B.     "Hit the pole! Hit the pole! HE DID!" -Bob Uecker after Osik's HR. I still LOVE to listen to Uecker call a game. He never has to pretend he cares.

    Powel made a joke that the Mets were losers..... and they are really easy to pick on right now. Everyone else blasts the Brewers to smithereens, why can't Powel kick a team back when they are down? Really.... maybe we have a couple closet Mets fans here.

    While it was obvious Powell doesn't like the Mets, it was also VERY obvious that his LOSERS coment was meant to be a bit tongue in cheek. The Brewers are in their position because of mismanagment of the farm system more than anything else, but economics still plays a large roll. The Mets are going to lose 95+ games when they basically had an open check book. If it's going to cost them 50 million more to win 5 more games than the Brewers, who really are the losers? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
