  1. Nice to see him punish the opposing manager for bringing in the lefty. Hopefully this helps get him back in form. Also, Wolf is now in line for the W.
  2. Two more clear strikes called balls. I sure hope that this tight zone gets called on the other side.
  3. I made an early promise not to complain about the lineup. I just hope Diego hits well. Also, Prince Fielder really needs to start hitting. Who does he think he is, Carlos Gomez?
  4. I am convinced that Randy Wells is not actually very good. He's one of those guys that never strikes anybody out. Touch him up, Brewers. Don't get embarrassed in your own house.
  5. Atlanta is a hotbed of youth baseball talent. I doubt it has much to do with having a local AAA team.
  6. Ground ball after ground ball after ground ball. I'm not complaining. One of those finds a glove early on and the inning is much better. That's mostly bad luck.
  7. Brutal. I'm glad I didn't sit through that. Hopefully the Brewer bats can Braden Looper-ize Suppan tomorrow. Called it. He didn't get the W, but pretty close.
  8. Soup did get squeezed on a couple of pitches there, but it seems like he's falling apart/being Jeff Suppan otherwise. Also something for my fellow bf.netters to consider: Marlon Byrd: Brewer Killer?
  9. They put in a new light rail stop for the stadium. From what I have heard the only congestion is people on foot waiting to get on the next available light rail.
  10. So we know why Stetter wasn't used... (see Major League sub-forum)
  11. I went for a run with the dog after the seventh and came back to this. Brutal. I'm glad I didn't sit through that. Hopefully the Brewer bats can Braden Looper-ize Suppan tomorrow.
  12. I was also wondering why he pulled Dave Bush. He hadn't even been all the way through the lineup a third time.
  13. The best part is that the Cubs are paying Soriano $18m per year for the next four seasons after this one, and he has a full no-trade clause. Also: I'm following on Gameday, so until you folks mentioned it, I had no indication of a swing by Escobar.
  14. Alright, bases loaded! Dave Bush, time for one of your four hits this year. What's that? You say it was a called strike three? How could you possibly come to that conclusion?
  15. Now we get to see Zaun ground into a triple play! Oh boy! Seriously, rally killer. We need this.
  16. Following on Gameday, I wondered how Casey failed to score from second on a single, and worried that Zaun might GIDP. I hate being pessimistic about the Brewers, and then being right.
  17. Right down the middle of the plate is the only place he can throw them - two inches in any direction is a ball.
  18. That is one tight (and by tight I mean inconsistent) strike zone.
  19. I was just thinking, "why can't the Brewers ever pull off something like that?" Then Casey made me look stupid just for thinking it. Also, serious lack of class hitting a walk-off HR, and the absolute gall to watch it to make sure it stayed fair. Unbelievable.
  20. Bonus baseball! I sure hope that these early season yips are just that - early season trouble.
  21. That was so unclassy of Rickie to throw Carpenter off his rhythm enabling Braun to take advantage.
  22. He may have lost some range, but Diego still looks pretty smooth in center.
  23. That was some catch. It looked like Hart had broken open a big lead there for a second. I would also like to mention that there have been more "game updates" leading to silence from the booth, and it is glorious.
  24. There was a brief minute there on espn3.com when Joe said, we have an update, and they must not have had rights to stream it or something, because it was silent. Nothing but the crowd nad the sound of the ball hitting the catcher's mitt.
