I'm worried about this series, but I hope that Randy Wolf continues his string of strong outings, and the Brewers greet Scott Baker rudely in his visit to Miller Park.
Baseball is a funny game sometimes. When the Brewers were tearing up the NL, the Cards were right with them, refusing to lose. Now, the Brewers get embarrassed by the Iowa Cubs, and they actually pick up a half game on the Cardinals.
Again, the arbitrariness of the MLB Live Look-In is frustrating. I saw Ax cut down Baker on a beautiful offspeed pitch, and the Look-In cuts out. Just need one more, Ax. Let's go.
Even Loe and Dillard I would have have faith in if RRR knew that they're righty-only pitchers. There's plenty of talent in the bullpen to win games. It's just that the talent doesn't extend to between the manager's ears.
The thing that bothers me about these games is how winnable they are. There is no good reason for the Brewers to lose this one. All you need is to not cough up three runs in an inning. Braddock should have been up to start, but I'm surprised that it wasn't Loe. I can overlook Monday's game (you can't win if you don't score), but you would think that getting seven one-run innings from Gallardo and a three-run lead going into the eighth that you should win.
The pitch Hart missed would have been strike three. He missed a pitch against a pitcher with ferocious stuff who strikes out more than a batter per inning in his career. Is anybody else really annoyed by the arbitrariness of MLB Gameday's Live Look-Ins?
So far the scrubs have rolled over in abject supplication to both the Reds and Classies pretty much every time they've played. It's time for ours, Chicago. Time for your crappy hitters to remain crappy, and for your crappy pitchers to remember that they're actually crappy. I don't want to see the scrubs suddenly turn into the 2008 Cubs for four days only in June.
These both seem relevant: http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/10115e9f8d30622907b4986c8b138daabbde3e3.jpg http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/e10255696384632b6ae227b4b856beaad99e662.jpg
