  1. If you have Extra Innings it's Directv channel 732....sadly (or positively, if you looking at it from a production standpoint), it's the Reds feed.
  2. On the Extra Innings package, it's channel 732.
  3. Actually, according to the police chief interviewed on the Today show this morning, the police released the tape.
  4. Just checked the Extra Innings schedule and the game will be able to be seen (Thank God!!) but, it's the Reds feed. Something is better than nothing, I guess, so I'll take it.
  5. I saw this on the Today show and had to turn the TV off before I threw up. The girl who was beat up apparently said a few negative things on her myspace page about a couple of the girls. I'm sorry, but no matter what you say, violence is not the response! Yes, one of the girls' moms was on the Today show and basically said the girl had it coming because she said those things. She also said that her daughter tried to warn the girl, yet didn't call the police or tell the girls to stop.
  6. 1. Softball 2. Golf 3. Basketball (although my jumper used to be good, I haven't played in a while, so it's probably a bit off) 4. Football 5. Walking my dog
  7. 'We always hang in a buffalo stance"....Thanks a lot Brian....the song's in my head now.
  8. There is one who posted just a bit above you. Seems to me she's a big baseball fan. Don't know if she's single or not....but you never know.
  9. If Sheets pitches every game like he did yesterday, or somewhere even close to it, it will cost the Brewers a lot of money, if they choose to make him an offer. They may make him an offer, but he always has the ability to turn it down. It seems to me like he likes the community, but what if the Astros, or Rangers or a team closer to Louisiana makes him an offer bigger than the Brewers? If it was me, I'd have to seriously consider it, money or not.
  10. That's some mighty tasty gravy. He's doing great and really has been the best mix of offensive skills and defensive skills that we've had in what, 20 years?
  11. I was reading a very interesting article in the San Antonio Express News this morning, as today is the 40th anniversary of the World's Fair in San Antonio. The fair was a huge step in San Antonio becoming a major tourist city. The civic leadership took some major risks, and they paid off. They were visionary folks and it seems like they tried to think years in advance. I don't really see that in Milwaukee. The visionary leadership, that is. The whole Pabst City debacle was something that would and could have added to the attraction, and it was shot down. Milwaukee just really strikes me as a large town, not a major city. It's better than Sheboygan, at least, but that's not really saying much. The traffic in San Antonio is not bad at all, for being a major metro area.
  12. Bill Hall is quite clutch vs. Zito
  13. I don't know him, but Oral Roberts is always good. Or Dick Trickle
  14. According to Woogie's stats, Bill Hall hit a 5 run BillHill slam off of Zito. Bill Hall is amazing. Tomorrow will be a fun day. Edit: Bill Hall is quite clutch vs. Barry Zito.
  15. I guess a big city to me, always feels like there are things to do. Especially for me, thinking this weekend that San Antonio is hosting the Final Four. There is so much going on here this weekend, and so much really cool stuff that typically goes on here that brings people in. There's some of that in Milwaukee with the summer festivals and Summerfest, but it doesn't always seem to me that those things are a big attraction TO the city. Maybe that's just me.
  16. I'll definitely take the Brewers winning 67% of their games. That would be 108 wins. They're off to a great start.
  17. We all like Manny Parra. Apparently, he's pitching well...Let's leave it at that.
  18. She approved even before I broke out the "it will only cost about $30 more between dropping the sports tier and ordering extra innings". I love her very much. She's quite the keeper.
  19. Fox has the rights to all the afternoon games on Saturdays, so you will not be able to watch Saturday afternoon games unless they are being broadcast on Fox. Sorry, I feel your pain. I just ordered Extra Innings yesterday, and it sucks that the Saturday games are blacked out. Bob and Jim don't reach as far as Texas, so I'm relying on y'all today. Keep me posted!
  20. OK, let me explain my thoughts. I moved the end of January from Sheboygan, to San Antonio. For any of you who have been to Sheboygan, I'm sorry. There is nothing at all in Sheboygan. Granted, it's a huge culture shock to move from a sleeping little city to a major metropolitan area, which is where I feel much more comfortable, but what exactly is it that gives a major city it's feel? I've also lived in Portland, Oregon and spent a lot of time down in Milwaukee, and if I had to rank the 3, San Antonio has the best feel of a big city, followed by Portland, and Milwaukee. I think a big part of it has to do with city leadership and looking ahead. Here in San Antonio, yes there are a lot of visitors, but there is a desire to consistently upgrade and maintain what is here. It felt the same way in Portland. In Milwaukee, it seems like not only is there an inferiority complex compared to Chicago, but there's no desire to maintain and upgrade what is there. Miller Park, to me is a great example. It is a fantastic, great place to watch a baseball game. Who is developing the area around it? Or what is going on to link it to the things to do downtown? Any thoughts? I know the feel of a big city is quite subjective, but I'm interested in finding out your thoughts.
  21. Just putting in my 2 cents. I always thought it was Slobber.....but the thing I remember is being always intrigued by the cheesy yellow graphics on the high-tech cheesy yellow scoreboard.
  22. I enjoy Robb Edwards as the PA announcer at MP, but he could do a bit more with the intros.
  23. I think that's way too generous. If he's under 4.00 ERA, I'll be happy, that should lead to a pretty solid record. Hey, it's the home opener. Why not be optimistic?
  24. Also expecting that today is the day that Prince gets going. Enjoying the home "cooking", he will go 4/5 with 2 HR and 7 RBI. That would help my fantasy team immensely.
  25. I'm expecting big things from Carlos V this year. Maybe about 14-5, with a 2.90 ERA. That would make me happy.
