  1. So here's my solution to this problem. Gange to the DL, ZachJack to AAA, DiFelice to the rotation, McClung NOT starting (in the bullpen) and Dillard in the bullpen. Everyone's happy, and the Brewers actually are using their players the way they are supposed to.
  2. So, we can safely say that for tonight....Gagne is relieved of his closing duties? And maybe by Friday he'll be closing again?
  3. Kelly Clarkson (Season 1), Carrie Underwood (Season 4), and Jordin Sparks (Season 6) won American Idol are all pretty popular, the first two moreso than Jordan. Other notables who have not won include, Blake Lewis, Elliot Yamin, Clay Aiken, Kelly Pickler, and Chris Daughtry. I'm not talking about pretty popular....I'm talking about being a pop superstar....one with staying power. That was the sell from the beginning. Take a no one and make them the biggest thing in the world. Clarkson was alright.....Underwood is more country than pop. Usually, the winner of the competition is (or should be) the best, yet you listed more under the "did not win" category than the winner. Just wake me when the whole thing is over.
  4. He reminds me of Norm MacDonald....don't know why, but he does.
  5. Who that has won the show really has gone on to pop "superstardom" from this show?
  6. Has Jackson pitched since he's come up?
  7. Why is he even in the game with a 7 run lead? It's a non-save situation. Use Mota or someone else who needs to work out some issues.
  8. If a trade is available, I'd look for that. If not, PG is my #1 priority. You've got an OK shooting guard (who I'd look to trade to rebuild this team), a good young SF in Yi, a PF/C in Bogut. You're looking for a PG or a frontline guy.
  9. Great story....thankfully he did it one day AFTER the Brewers left Beantown. Or maybe that might be the thing that turns them around.....
  10. Irresponsible journalism, Tom, irresponsible. To hear a rumor, and then go with it because Braun made some tough comments that could "bring a manager down" is irresponsible. And it ruins my day so far.
  11. You would think that TH would maybe give a call to DM to check and see what the truth is before posting this information. Isn't that good journalism? Check your facts and sources before going with a story? I think there's going to be some seriously angry people if they get their hopes up thinking that Ned is gone, and he ends up still being the manager at the end of the day.
  12. I'm back to the monkey.
  13. Bring him up. He's gotta be better than the crap that's being thrown against the wall currently.
  14. I've been a Brewer fan all of my life. I've loved this team, followed this team from my childhood on. I've been through the good, the bad and the awful. What hurts the most about this whole thing this season is that I expected them to be good, and this is so subpar. They aren't going to be worldbeaters on defense, but this is atrocious. And they fight back to get back in the game, get it close, and what happens? The pitching implodes. I'm really wanting this team to get all things working together. Something's gotta change.
  15. Ryan Braun gets an A++++++++++ The rest of the team gets an F
  16. I have respect for a guy who is out there busting his butt, playing hard, and trying to win, and who wonders why the rest of his team doesn't seem to be doing the same. Thankfully, he IS the leader of this team, and if the manager isn't going to do it, Ryan Braun will. I love Ryan Braun.
  17. I don't know if it's on Directv's extra innings....it's not on the schedule, but once the game starts, I'll be flipping around to see if it's there.
  18. I've been slow to come around, but I think it would help to have Branyan on the bench, as he's a lefthanded bat that can play 3rd, 1st or OF. It sure would help out the bench.
  19. Yeah, but we don't know if the Brewers were offering $100 million over 7 years or what. Who knows what goes on behind closed doors. There's not a whole lot he can do about being paid a half a millions dollars, short of taking the offer that the Brewers offer. But we know that won't happen, because Boras wants him in a big market.
  20. Any word about a delay? Edit: yeah, it's quite wet....looks like it's going to be a while.
  21. Win 'em all!!! Really, I'm thinking 1 in Boston, 1 in Pittsburgh (it's Pittsburgh) and 3 in DC. .500 I can accept...really depends on the bullpen in my opinion.
  22. Couldn't you say the same thing about the Cubs signing Edmonds?? Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black?
  23. Is Difelice going to the rotation or the pen? If the rotation, who leaves?
  24. Yeah, he moved there late in an extra innings game earlier this season....but I think that was the first time he had done it in MLB if I remember correct.
