    I'm not much of a stats guy, but what's the Major league record for watching your home run before starting to run? I couldn't find it on baseball-reference.com. I'm trying to put Braun's pose into perspective.

    Pepsi...we are booked, air and hotel. We've been going down for about 12 years...it's now a family trip with our two girls...so we stay at the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak, great pool and amenities for kids, nice location. Make a note and let's catch up in March and grab a beer or two in Maryvale.

    Well, our random number generator came up with InsomniaInkRoss (I know it's not a number, but post#2 came up). Since he only needs one, I still had one left so I did another for one ticket....that came up TauPentaRei; if you can use the one, let me know. If not, I'll draw again for one, but I need to do it quick, as I'm off to Cooperstown tomorrow! I'll need to get these in the mail tonight.

    If anyone's going to be there on Sunday, I could use a little help. I've got tickets for Biggio and Bo Jackson as part of the VIP package, but I'm leaving Saturday. I'd like to get a Biggio ball, but don't really care for Bo. If anyone could get me a Biggio, I'd happily give them the Bo. (I also have a pass to get in the front of the autograph line, if that helps).

    I posted on the IGT last night -- when the Brewers were down 3-0 -- that we needed some good vibes going, so I offered two tickets for the Brewers/Cubs series next week IF the Brewers came back and won. Well, you know what happened, and here we are. I've got two Club Level tickets, first row, for next Thursday afternoon's game. I'm too busy/lazy to come up with a clever contest, so it's your basic random giveaway. I'll do the drawing later tomorrow and mail the tickets. I'll be at the game and you'll be sitting next to me -- so let's not find these puppies on eBay, or you'll be hunted down. Also, one point of order -- and I don't mean to sound like a jerk -- but I will not include in the random drawing first-time posters or those who's only posts consist of "I'm in" to get free tickets. I want them to go to the people who make this a great forum through their posting contributions (new posters and those with thousands of posts). I hope that is understandable.

    For whatever reason, the thought of losing to Kyle Loshe irritates me greatly tonight. We need some positive vibes, so here's my contribution: if the Crew comes back and wins tonight, I'll give away two tickets to a Brewers/Cubs game next week.

    So, we're 2-4 at home since trading for Sabathia. So much for this big trade "energizing the team." Now, if we fill the 4-5 other holes on this team, maybe we'll be okay.

    I'm saddened to report that last week's effort on behalf of the Mota Relief Fund apparently was unsuccessful. As many of you may have heard, another catastrophic outbreak of Mota has swept through Milwaukee. Once again, we turn to you to help fight this late game killer. All we ask is that you put your name in for a random drawing for four free Club Level tickets and a parking pass to Friday night's game. Or even if you can only use two tickets, we can have two winners. Every little bit helps. I don't know how, but it can't hurt can it? Tickets are available for pick-up in Menomonee Falls. We will keep the drawing open until 7:00 p.m. Thursday (the 10th) night. And, if Mota isn't DFA'd soon, the Mota Relief Fund is going to go belly-up, as we're a not-for-profit operation.

    What's that definition of insanity again? Doing the exact same thing over and over a but expecting different results. That's how I feel about Mota and the 8th inning (or any inning). Insanity. Why, Ned? Why?

    After Sunday's game, when many had already left early - my friend and I both left at the same time. He was parked in the parking lot. I was over on Wisconsin avenue parked on the street. I had been back home in West Bend for about 5 minutes before they got out of the parking lot. That is why. That about nails it for me. I go to 40 or so games a year, so I see plenty of baseball, and I don't leave if it's a close game. But my season parking is right next to the stadium, which is great when coming in but a pain when leaving. With 35,000+ fans, it can easily take me 30-45 minutes to get out. And I absolutely hate sitting in traffic.
