    Too late.. I am all in on this season.. either I will end the season drinking heavily to drown my sorrows or... drinking heavily celebrating the world series win.. Hmmm.. maybe I should re-think my strategy..

    Worse case scenario they end this road trip 5-2... likely 6-1.. possibly 7-0.. who would have thought that would be the case a month ago..

    I can't believe Jon Heynman on Si.com wrote in his column today that the Cubs are easily the favorite with Harden.. has he been watching the last 2 weeks?

    I like the Cubs playing late so I can switch over on extra innings and watch them choke on the west coast

    I have to say as frustrating as he can be.. his home run swings are my favorite..

    I am not sure with why people are upset with the pitching the last two games. the 4th and 5th starters throw 11 innings and give up 5 runs (so far).. that is pretty decent for those spots. . The issue is that the Brewers only have one run off of Lohse.. also Braun has an 1.011 OPS in July so I think expectations are a little crazy with him when people suggest he is struggling.

    Really? An increase of ~ ten wins? Insightful stuff. Well first of all with him at .215 and below average defense I believe they are a 93 win team.. Russ says 91-92 in his blog but I am slightly more positive. So now you add in an extra .65 points (over 600 at bats that is 39 times he is on base which is approximately 20 wins) not to mention whatever extra runs he hits in and the extra at bats for the rest of the team and you are at around 25 runs. Now if he is average on defense that is another 5 - 10 runs so is 30-35 runs worth 7 wins? I think so.. but again your response was insightful stuff as well.

    With how the Brewers management has committed to making the playoffs how can you not believe? It may end up being more heartbreaking in the end but what fun it will be taking the ride over the next two+ months. I was 8 the last time the Brewers made the playoffs so for me this last 2 weeks has been the most fun watching baseball of my life.. can't wait for it to continue.

    Yes. you are right.. however.. I still argue that if the Brewers don't make the playoffs it is will be Weeks as the reason.. if he hits .280 and plays average defense they win 100 games.

    Brewers with only 3 K's tonight.. how enjoyable to watch a game where they put the ball in play..
