SummerSlam and Raw have been two fantastic shows. Loving the direction WWE is going. Rollins and Ambrose are the top two performers in the company right now. Reigns needs to pick up his game to warrant this push.
Magic number is 42 on both teams. Magic number = 163 - "Brewers/First Place Teams Wins" - "STL/PIT Losses (whoever is in 2nd)" http://www.dailygalaxy.com/.a/6a00d8341bf7f753ef01a73d939281970d-pi
I really don't understand your line of thinking on this trade. Parra is a MUCH better hitter than Schafer and is probably a little bit better in the field.
"Especially since we get Parra for next year as well, which is a nice bridge to Ramirez, Rodgers, Taylor, or some other 4th OF for the 2106 season. " If DM is planning this far out, we have a gem!
Just saw that Banda was originally drafted by the Diamondbacks in 2011 so they obviously liked him. He was probably a key to this deal. Update: And also just saw that BrewersAA said pretty much the same thing. Ha
He is an upgrade over Schafer and will be our top LH hitter off the bench. Haniger hasn't really done much since he left Low A ball. I'm not saying he is done as a prospect, but he isn't trending the right direction.
Honestly, the Brewers don't need much more than that on offense. Their hitting has been really good all year, it just has slumps from time to time. All teams have that. He is a much better option to start if any of the starting guys get hurt as well. Schafer in the lineup on a daily basis is a black hole. They are not trading Khris Davis for David Price. I'm not sure what other blockbuster trade could be made. There are no rumblings of such a deal. Giving up an above average outfielder with 5 more years of control to improve the starting pitching (which is a strength for the Brewers) is very short sighted.
