  1. But this year, he has gotten a lot like Daron Sutton (homer) and I feel has slipped in his play by play work on the tv broadcasts. I miss Darron Sutton a lot, but I would not replace BA with him. Rock needs to go though. I just really don't understand half the things he says. I'm not saying I can do a better job or that there aren't worse guys out there. I just want to listen to something different.
  2. Gerut should get it... Wood will get it. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  3. I love the second survey. "Will he ever pitch in the major leagues?" Nearly 70% say yes. I love how we can now project nine year olds to the majors...
  4. Last night isn't exactly his "start." How easy it is to forget his career numbers in 447 ABs. .235/.285/.396/.681 30 BBs 119 Ks
  5. Pat Burrell says Hi! So does Carlos Lee. Me Llamo Mike Cameron.
  6. Dunn is also an upgrade over Loney at first base. He could have played there. This is just hypothetical though.
  7. yeah... how did Dunn possibly clear waivers? You would have thought LA would have stepped in on this one.
  8. That is true Russ. Chicago does play a tougher opponent in Pyth when they get Atlanta. But STL gets an easy Opponent in Florida so their SOS goes up as well.
  9. As of Games through August 10th. Opp. Win% Opp. Pyth. Win% Home Games Road Games Arizona 0.465 0.459 22 22 Los Angeles 0.462 0.463 22 23 Milwaukee 0.483 0.482 23 21 Chicago 0.500 0.488 19 25 New York 0.484 0.489 23 22 St. Louis 0.502 0.490 20 22 Philly 0.484 0.494 22 23 Florida 0.496 0.506 22 22
  10. That really makes me smile....... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Anyways, this is a key stretch. Dominate the little guys and let the big boys beat up on each other. LETS GO CREW!!!
  11. ouch... that hurt.
  12. And I agree with Yost. Its 4 games out of 162. At worst we are a game out of the WC and we had just swept the team ahead of us on the road in a 4 gamer. This isn't the end of the world, I hope the players don't act like it is either.
  13. Can we see some sort of formula on that??? HA, just joshin' with you russy. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  14. Depends on how good my bullpen is. Good bullpens make good managers.
  15. Through the games ending on July 27th. Opp. Win% Opp. Pyth. Win% Home Games Road Games Arizona 0.463 0.460 29 29 Los Angeles 0.462 0.465 29 29 New York 0.477 0.475 29 28 Philly 0.480 0.480 28 29 Milwaukee 0.482 0.483 30 27 Chicago 0.504 0.486 28 29 St. Louis 0.508 0.506 26 29 Florida 0.496 0.510 29 28
  16. The site I posted recently shows a graphical view of how the team has progressed or regressed over the year.
  17. It is mainly a financial argument. Also the fact that Escobar has a great chance to be better defensively than JJ. I know that's hard for some people on this board to believe, but he really is that good with the glove.
  18. after that road trip... anything less than 7-0 is unacceptable.
  19. BOO FIGHTING IRISH!!! This would be a pretty big blunder by Pinella if this ended up being true. It must be because they don't think Harden is much of a winner after his last start.
  20. There is a difference between a pitching throw and a SS throw. When was JJ clocked at 95?
  21. Why is everybody in such a hurry for Escobar to play short. I would be happy to sign JJ to a long term contract and leave him at SS. Everybody raves about Escobar but he does have 17 errors so far this year. His range might be better than JJ's but he can't possibly have a better arm than him. From all accounts I've seen/heard, he does have a better arm than JJ. Many of his errors have come due to his great range. I'm not in a hurry to see Escobar play SS, but if JJ and he are on the same field, it will be Alcides playing SS. I want JJ to be a longterm Brewer and with Escobar coming up soon (by 2010), if JJ is going to be a Brewer past FA, he would need to change positions.
