Well this certainly does suck. Hopefully he'll have a speedy recovery and possibly see action in September or October. Question is now: Do we bring up Escobar or Iribarren?
I really don't think there will ever be another Canadian team in baseball, other than the Blue Jays. Maybe Montreal will be revived along the road, maybe Vancouver would be a good fit in the AL West, but I don't think it'll happen.
I still think the most logical location would be Indiana. I also like the idea of Portland. It would give the Mariners an arch-rival, just like the Brewers-Cubs. Indiana would be the AL Central's 6th team (to match with the NL Central) and Portland would obviously give the AL West 5 teams. 32 teams, 16 per league.
All this talk about adding 2 more teams to the league has me wondering....where would they be located and what would they be called? Do you bring back the Expos and another old team? Do you create 2 brand new franchises? Personally, I would add 2 brand new teams (both to the AL - one in the central, one in the west). A team in Indiana (central) and maybe Sacramento (west). I also think North Carolina or Tennessee would be great places for a baseball team. Possible nicknames for Indiana's team: Lakers Huskers Express For Sacramento: Miners Knights any other suggestions? my creativity isn't coming up with much at the moment...
I've had it a couple times. It's too tart for me. You know it's fresh lemonade though when there's pulp and seeds floating in the bottle http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
The Rays acquired Joe Dillon from the Oakland A's to complete Friday May 8th trade in which the A's acquired infielder Adam Kennedy. Hopefully Joe finds success in Tampa, as he joins former teammates Gabe Gross, Brian Shouse, Gabe Kapler, and Grant Balfour. [EDIT: Moved post to this thread instead of making new one]
