  1. It's definitely more than that. Not sure what the actual attendence is, but I know they sold over 31,000 for today. And that was before walkups.
  2. The roof should stay closed, there is quite a cool breeze out there today. They can open the panels a bit if they want, maybe after the 3rd inning.
  3. 1250 also airs Ben Maller. My roommate likes to listen to Mike & Mike. I assumed that was ESPN radio (540). If they have local guys, I've never apprently tuned in at a time that did so.
  4. The drive in was horrible. I know early bid gets the worm and all that, but with all the parking passes that they sold, it should have been a quick flash and go. Not sure why it had to take 50 minutes to get from 51st and National to get into a parking spot.
  5. Sparky has gotten significantly better. There was a time this past summer that I just stopped listening to WSSP from 9-11 because everything that came out of his mouth was Fire Ned Yost, bench Brett Favre, etc etc. I haven't met the guy personally, so I dont know if he actually believes the words that come out of his mouth or he just likes to be radical to gain ratings and to generate discussion. It seems to have tempered lately and I can now listen to the show without wanting to switch over to WXXS or somethign else. That said, for sports shows, WSSP is the only station I listen to as I hate National Radio Shows like ESPN, Ben Maller, etc.
  6. I sent you a message.
  7. As of 3:45 CST, A ticket rep told me the system massively screwed up today and that tickets are still available, but apprently a meeting has been ongoing for a while trying to determine what to do.
  8. I'm moving this to the top because I leave next weekend. Didn't Brewerfan.net have a listing once of other fan sites, including the Mets? I figured I'd travel to a darker side and ask some Mets fans about their stadium and tips
  9. I agree, I would have applauded politely. Booing was totally in appropriate...but you know the fans, "they paid for their ticket, they can act however they please" Next thing you know Ryan, with the boo mentality being tossed around today, it will now be ok to stand and boo at a soldier's funeral. Because their hard money went to tax dollars to pay the soliders salary. And because they came home deceased, they didnt try hard enough or perform to standards.
  10. He seemingly hasn't turned down anybody for a picture or autograph, but being unpersonable is kind of amazing. You'd think those same qualities as a broadcaster (ie..wishing the players would be hospitable towards you and the interviews and the news stories) would allow him to pay it forward that much easier. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that it's just something he's done two million times, with the last million times being too many and he may just be tired. I wanted as a kid to be a sports broadcaster and as a teenager dreamed of having lunch just to pick his brain, but these short autograph sessions have turned me off just a bit. He's still the best at what he does though.
  11. I did the on-deck event last year and came away with the same impression after getting a stock autographed photo. Maybe he was on the lookout for Ms. Ladd, maybe he is tired of being on the lookout for her and not enjoying the atmosphere anymore. I know he probably wants to get in another playoff atmosphere before calling it quits, but one has to wonder if he enjoys it anymore.
  12. THe hour by hour forecast shows thunderstorms starting at 3pm tomorrow... oh pls push it back or give us a big league early boys. Maybe we can get it in.
  13. Also, if you have a problem with bringing back Turnbow, which you seem to do. Why not go down to Attanasio's office and boo him? He was one of the people who made the decision to make him back and he has more money than God? Why not boo Melvin whenever you see him? If you do something that you are passionate about, why not boo a supervisor who makes more money than you if they fail to meet an expectation? Booing is lame and classless in almost any kind of way you frame it. I pay a lot of money to go see a game, I would like to not have to put up with people who sit around me and boo all night. Post of the Year for me Ryan. Well Said. Next time the cook undercooks my "well-done" steak, I'm gonna go back into the kitchen and just start booing loudly, cuz hell, I paid good money for that. And then, I am going to stand next to the manager and start booing him because he allowed the guy to come back for another shift.
  14. The crappy part is that you know they wont make it up on Tuesday either. They will make us play a doubleheader sometime and we wont see baseball until Wednesday
  15. I can't call it a "National" holiday when nobody is celebrating at the same time. Two teams last week, a few sunday night, a few more on monday. Definitely like a holiday, just not a national holiday.
  16. Crispix is my favorite. I also like the Multigrain Cherrios. I can do Capt Crunch, but it has to be the one with the red berries and definitely not the peanut butter kind.
  17. Looking at the box score, my night is absolutely complete with absoulte crap for sports going my way. Suppan digs an early hole, offense fails to show up. Turnbow walks some, throws a wild pitch, gives up runs. Cameron and Hart both go 0'fers while striking out a bunch. Time for bed.
  18. Long way to go, but I hate the fact that we will be putting good shooters on the free throw line the rest of the way.
  19. Maybe a little nugget also has to be that he hasn't seemingly made too many mistakes either. Another GM may have traded away some of that talent that Jack Z drafted to make a run a little sooner than 2008. While something else may have been done in Free agency, it takes the willingness of the free agent to come as well. If you look at the trades, the Overbay situation was a money dump at the time, but in terms of talent we were obviously hosed for two years now that Overbay is deminishing. The other trades were mostly scrapheap for scrapheap. The Ned Yost backing is where the pendulum hinges, of yet, I'm not yet ready to decide.
  20. Our guys are hustling to get back too and it just isnt good enough
  21. White lobster wide open
  22. Ok, so I wont ask what a Woot Off is, because I can google it myself and save the embarrasment. Having now done so, is this for real? What are the hidden charges or catches?
  23. Hughes is out, isn't he the great defender we need to stop Curry?
