  1. Considering how good Ubaldo has been, we will play the tempered expectations game today! Moral victories in this game include: 1) get a hit, 2) score a run, 3) knock Ubaldo out of the game by the 7th inning. The wildcard moral victory is a quality start by Manny. Lets get it done! I would not be surprised to see Counsell start at SS today as Macha might try to stack the lineup with left handed bats.
  2. It is a small sample, but Rogers has been pretty tough on RHB this year. Plus it gives us the ever-elusive right-handed pinch hitter.
  3. We can call Chris Dickerson Diego. *shrug* You could definitely see this move coming for a while. No real place for Jody, no real need for him.
  4. I am hanging out in section 107 tonight. It is hot! Go Brewers! I am glad to see Hart back in the lineup.
  5. I'd like to see the splits on sac bunts attempted and sac bunts failed for the Brewers. It has to be at least 50/50. It feels like we can never get a bunt down when we want to.
  6. They were trying to set up the double play/strikeout possibility with Reynolds after Hoffman fell behind Montero, who doesn't strike out nearly as much. The move backfired as Reynolds laid off some good pitches to work a walk.
  7. I have a sinking feeling this game is going to come down to Randy Wolf batting with two outs and the game on the line.
  8. Alright Trevor, show 'em that you're back. Continue to drop that ERA.
  9. That back is still looking tight. Hopefully Rickie can jack one out and be done with this game. We may have to go 15 or 16 innings for Dickerson to get here at this rate. Randy Wolf, Manny Parra, and Yovani Gallardo will all have pinch hit by then.
  10. Cue Jim Ross for Chris Dickerson's Menchesque entrance. Nice job by Counsell to get to that ball to stop it from going into CF.
  11. I downloaded the song identifier app for my phone, so if no one knows by Wednesday, hopefully I will. I've missed some things, but I enjoyed Uecker's call of Narvdog's hitting and vigilante justice.
  12. Was Lo Cain just jamming to Inglett's batting music, or was he wobbling side to side for no reason? LOL.
  13. Ned Yost would approve of this. I remember him saying that in an emergency Dave Bush would play left field.
  14. Apparently Dickerson missed a second flight, according to McCalvy. Hopefully he misses the baseball with less frequency than he misses flights.
  15. This looks like one of those b-squad lineups from the Yost days. That means this is a guaranteed win. It'll be interesting to see how Escobar fares in RF. Chris Dickerson may need to make a Mench-style entrance if we need a pinch hitter with Braun and Hart down. That leaves our bench as Kottaras. Awesome. Braun sure didn't have any problem flinging his bat yesterday in his final at bat after popping out, so hopefully he's not doing too badly.
  16. Great, another left handed bench bat. Dickerson seems to be a favorable return for Diego, considering he's likely in his last few months as a big leaguer. I'd warmed up to Diego recently, especially with his penchant for tie-breaking home runs, including one against the Reds a few weeks ago. Watching him hobble around in the outfield and on the bases was painful, but I wish him the best in the twilight of his career, just not against the Brewers. I didn't figure this would be the last picture of Edmonds I'd get in a Brewers uniform, but it's a good one nonetheless. http://img651.imageshack.us/img651/7170/39013812152532918267015.jpg
  17. So much for the weather forecast. Those storms fizzled just like the Astros pitching today. I think it was okay for Macha to use Hawkins, Riske, and Axford today. With Narvdog, Parra, and Bush coming up it is likely we'll need Capuano to go multiple innings one of those days. Hawkins and Riske can probably still pitch an inning in two of those three games if needed. Ax hasn't worked for a while and you don't want him to get rusty. It was nice to see Lo Cain do well today.
  18. Based on the radar I'm planning for a very rainy, hot, and humid day at the ballpark. Hopefully we'll see Lucroy back in the lineup along with Cain today. Whatever weather fireworks are going on outside, I hope the Brewers match them with offensive fireworks off of Wright.
  19. Congrats to Trevor on 597. Lets get the guy to 600. Nice win, boys.
  20. So I went on the Lakefront Brewery tour today and had no idea Bernie's old beer mug chalet was housed there. That's pretty cool. http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o254/gjenkins05/Pics/IMG_0007.jpghttp://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o254/gjenkins05/Pics/IMG_0009.jpg
  21. That call was definitely epic. Nothing against Cory or Davey, but it is great to have Uecker back to make a call like that.
  22. Corey, tie or win this game for hawing and the SO. They would want you to!
  23. Get 'em, Joe! One swing of the bat away from a tie. Get it done.
