If I remember correctly, they had a trivia event on the scoreboard at Miller Park between innings. The subject was which Brewer has the middle name Diego. The choices were Gerut, Edmonds, and someone who I can't remember (but who obviously wouldn't have the middle name Diego). The person who played the trivia event guessed Edmonds' middle name was Diego. We all groaned/laughed, and that is now how Diego is Diego. I'm glad to see Cain back, although this isn't the ideal circumstances for the GoGo-Cain move many were hoping for.

Use tonight as the first step to writing your name in the lineup, LoCain. Brewers, remember this is Wandy Rodriguez, you can beat him. Be patient like you were in the first few games against the Cubs.

I was able to access both chat rooms. Inside the chat room it said 0 users, but on the homepage it acknowledged there was a user in the chat.

The main thing we were in contention for was to finish with another .500 season. Now that we're back to 10 under, even that will be difficult. At this point any moves made management wise (e.g.: firing Macha or Melvin) would just be to make people feel like they're doing something, so it won't happen. As far as answers to what should be done, the best thing they could do is call up Cain, play him in CF everyday and send Gomez down to AAA for retooling. Gomez wants to be that combo guy like Carlos Beltran who has speed and power, but it just doesn't work for him (at least at this point in his career). When they send him down, make Gomez bunt for a hit at least once per game. Restrict him from taking huge hacks and just teach him to swing like Nyjer Morgan/Juan Pierre/Otis Nixon. This serves two purposes: it gets Cain experience at the big league level and it hopefully will give Gomez an opportunity to refine his offensive game so it can catch up to his defensive abilities. Another thing that might be worthwhile to do is get Capuano a few more starts to see what we have with him and if he's worth keeping around next year. At this point since the Brewers stood pat at the deadline they really have to just kind of ride out the rest of the year with what they've got.

Diego and Kottaras in the lineup today: Weeks 4 Hart 9 Fielder 3 Braun 7 McGehee 5 Edmonds 8 Escobar 6 Kottaras 2 Wolf 1 Lofty goals for today: 1) score a run, 2) avoid the sweep.

They could also move Coffey/Edmonds, as Delcarmen would be under team control through 12, while Coffey is a FA after 11. It would kind of be a lateral move, but a way to open up a roster spot for Cain to hopefully play. -
FWIW, McCalvy just posted tonight's Brewers lineup and Hart is listed in it. Not that it means much as they could always scratch him. To keep on topic, I'd prefer someone other than Sanchez if we trade Hart.

Hermida would continue to fit the motive of an all left handed hitting bench, other than the backup C (when Kottaras is starting). Maybe this is me being optimistic, but the fact that it is so quiet on the media front (McCalvy, Haudricourt, etc.) makes me think maybe something small might happen. Otherwise you'd think they'd be out there posting "nothing is happening." Time is running short though for a non-waiver deal. -
