  1. 13-14 3 + 3 + 4 = 10 As soon as Edmonds comes back Macha puts Hart back on the bench, limiting his HR potential. The games against Houston and Seattle help to even out what could be a pretty rough month, at least on paper.
  2. Good call. Haudricourt's blog made it seem as though the Brewers might stall this move out until Sunday, which would give them time to either DFA a guy like Vargas or drain Estrada's arm piggybacking Parra tomorrow before sending him back to Nashville.
  3. At this point Hall doesn't have much to lose. He's not even hitting Uecker! That is pretty awesome he pitched (and even more awesome that he did so effectively).
  4. I honestly never thought we'd see this day again. I made that icon back in 2006 when Cappy was all the rage. The icon was still in my yuku icon queue so I figured I'd bring it out for this momentous occasion! Hopefully two years away from the game will vanquish memories of the 22 game losing streak the Brewers had whenever Cappy pitched. I believe that is still active, though ... lol.
  5. Welcome back to the bigs, Cappy! Just like I did with my broken bobblehead, the doctors were able to glue your arm back together. I wish him the utmost success. DFA'ing Vargas over Soup isn't the worst thing in the world. Soup hasn't been as brutal out of the pen as Vargas has. Vargas literally has no role right now. Suppan is getting paid $12 million to be Matt Ford and pitch when we're up 10 or down 10.
  6. Wiltrado edited the blog entry. Macha wants Fielder third vs. LHP to force them to pitch to Fielder since Braun over his career has crushed LHP.
  7. I love how Macha mentioned the St. Louis 20 inning game as to why he didn't use Lucroy. Yet, St. Louis lost that game in part because LaRussa not once but twice refused to use his backup catcher with runners on and a chance to win the game. Flawed logic is flawed.
  8. With Edmonds due to return Monday, Stern may want to pack light. It kinda sucks for him, but it is nice to have another body for this weekend series.
  9. If Jody Gerut can't stand there and try to hit a fly ball, he should be on the DL. Period. Epic fail indeed.
  10. Provus had my heart jumping out of my chest there. He had to think it was gone.
  11. I like GoGo. It seems to fit his personality, a guy with limitless energy and enthusiasm.
  12. Boo no HD. I think it will be a Cory and Davey night for me. Lets get 'em, Narvy!
  13. That's a tough break for Zaun. I'm glad they kept Kottaras over Treanor or we'd be much worse off. At minimum hopefully they can pair Lucroy with Wolf and get him a third start every second turn through the rotation, leaving Kottaras to start 7 out of every 10. I'd like to see them do what they had planned with Zaun/Kottaras which was a 6/4 split, but somehow I don't see that happening with Macha at the helm.
  14. Brian and Bill are good, but I think the nice part about listening on the radio is the lack of clicheness. A lot of times Brian and Bill will just fall into cliches and the same old talk. Doing games on the radio they always have to fill dead air with something, be it interesting or not. Cory has stepped up admirably since Uecker has been out, and while Davey is no where near smooth in his delivery and he and Cory sometimes trip over each other, it is evident Davey does have some insightful things to say if he can string the right words together.
  15. I initially thought I was going to hate being on twitter, but I actually enjoy it. It's a really good way to follow musicians. A downside is that if your tweets are protected only people who follow you can see them so there's not a whole lot of interaction, but it is a good way to got information in the least characters possible.
  16. Congrats! That's pretty awesome. Teach him to throw the eephus pitch for the event! Regardless, I'll be sure to clap. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  17. Axford might want to wake up from his bullpen nap, he'll probably be pitching next inning.
  18. I'm guessing we might see Braddock for two, then possibly Hoffman. I just read an article on Brewers.com which said Hoffman is available today, but would be pitching in a set up role.
  19. Braddock is up. And Fielder is up, up, and away! Nice job, Prince!
  20. Nice work by Parra to get out of that, he's likely done now though. I'm going to guess Villa might not be available today, so Coffey probably slides into the 9th which makes him also unavailable right now. Is Braddock at the park yet? Bush?
  21. Hart again! Hopefully they don't bury him on the bench once Edmonds comes back.
