  1. That, ladies and gentlemen, is why you catch the ball with two hands.
  2. Attanasio said he would be meeting with Melvin and Ash to see what kind of improvements they can make with the team, but none of those will be managerial. He basically discussed understanding the frustration of fans because he himself has been frustrated, but we basically need to stay the course.
  3. Well, Slowey is already at 50 pitches through 3. Get him out of the game by the 6th and go to work on the bullpen. Seems as though Yo is settling down a bit.
  4. Looks like Giants-A's is on MLBN for TWC customers in Milwaukee, so FSN for us it is. At least Go-Go worked Slowey for a few pitches.
  5. Just seeing Kevin Slowey's name sends shivers down my spine. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif This might be a long day.
  6. If Gomez weren't a Brewer we'd be all over him for those antics. That's Pujols/Soriano/A-Ram level ball watching. That said, whatever. He hit a home run so we won't get shut out.
  7. Good job trapping the ball, Ryan! Well, at least something has gone our way.
  8. Bush was squeezed on a 3-2 count and had some choice words for the ump. The ump then took his mask off and followed Bush back to the mound yelling at him after Bush had already turned his back and headed to the mound. It took Kottaras and Counsell taking the ump away and Fielder taking Bush away to separate them.
  9. By the end of the night Bush might have a worse ERA than Suppan, although we all know Bush has a tendency to give up his runs in bunches as to where Suppan is much more consistent. lol
  10. Well, if we're ever going to see Vargas again tonight is the night. Depending on how taxed the bullpen gets tonight that could bode as another nudge to bring up Braddock.
  11. They're not even dinking and dunking him to death, every ball is a laser. This is just like the Cubs game.
  12. Well, apparently bad Bush showed up tonight. Hopefully Suppan can give a large quantity of innings out of the bullpen if this continues.
  13. This umpire is a chump. Bush was walking back to the mound and he's still in Bush's ear. Macha finally got out there to do something about it. Or at least talk to him in a calm, level headed manner.
  14. Since I was picking up the new Stars and Stripes hat today I checked to see if the Grand Avenue Lids and Fan Fair had the hat you're looking for, sadly they don't. Lids had a Brewers hat in every color of the rainbow, though, lol.
  15. It is a possibility, but it is more likely they'll keep Estrada around as a handcuff for Parra. Although at this point they could send Estrada down and use Suppan as Parra's handcuff, but Estrada pitched so well versus CIN it might be worth giving him another shot.
  16. I like using Axford for two innings here. Considering his pitch count Macha will probably go with Villanueva in the 9th.
  17. Can Riske be moved to the 60-day DL, despite the fact he is rehabbing? He probably isn't anywhere close to contributing, anyway. Vargas DFA would make sense as even though he had a great year last year his career stats indicate at some point he'd regress to the norm.
  18. Stern will probably go down for Gomez, Vargas DL stint/DFA maybe for Braddock? We haven't seen Vargas since he gave up 5 runs to the Phillies, which means he could be back in 10 days if they make the DL retroactive to the last day he pitched. They could always send Axford back, too, but that wouldn't make much sense.
  19. Hart seems to be seeing the ball well right now, which is nice.
  20. Houston is facing Ubaldo tonight, so we stand a good chance of gaining a game. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  21. Narveson popped him in the mask with a fastball during his first inning warm-up pitches. He stayed in the game but is now leaving the game.
