    I'm just glad it was only a solo home run. Soup is getting crushed, but at least he's finding gloves for now. Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good.

    Silver lining: I'd rather see the AAA lineup against Sheets/Bush/Sabathia/McClung/DiFelice while facing Lilly/Marquis/Marshall than against Suppan facing Dempster. This would be a game we can steal tonight instead of a game we "should win" because we're facing the scrubs.

    Lets hope Jorge Campillo can pitch as well against the Astros as he did against us and end any chance of the Astros thinking about getting into this wildcard race.     I think this was an awesome gesture by Gagné and I do applaud his contributions to the community and its charities this year. In that sense he has been a great asset.

    Carlos Lee "wanted" to stay with the Brewers, too. I'd love to have CC stay, but I won't get my hopes up like I did with Lee.

    Jeff, lets be blunt. You've sucked this month. There is no debating that. However, this is exactly the type of game that Mark A. got that gleam in his eye and broke the bank to sign you for. Our biggest rival comes to our park, we just need to handle our business first and foremost. If the Marlins give us help, great. Keep our offense within striking distance. That's all we ask. Offense, take some pitches. Dempster will be on a pitch count, so don't go crazy with the swinging at first pitch everything approach so he can pitch 7 innings on an 85 pitch pitch count. We saw how ineffective the likes of Kevin Hart, Bob Howry, Neal Cotts, and Chad Gaudin can be. The bullpen is your friend. Most importantly, win! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
