  1. I am tired of people saying "well at least the Packers won." I am tired of the Brewers letting themselves be overshadowed, overmatched, and underwhelming when the pressure is on. Our defense has been bad, our bullpen has been worse, and the hitting has been absolute garbage. No barrage of solo home runs can atone for the horrible homestand these guys have dropped on us.
  2. What a pathetic homestand. We picked the wrong time for our offense to go in the deep freeze and our bullpen to completely fall apart at the seams.
  3. Did anyone else notice that every time Bill Hall touched the baseball after his error, the crowd had a collective gasp as if they were afraid he was going to commit another error/throw it away? I thought it was kind of funny, but sad at the same time.
  4. The weather was definitely nice today. I think that people were a little quick on the boo wagon again with booing Parra, Hall, and pretty much anyone other than JJ Hardy, who didn't do anything to help the 5 run inning with his own error. Hall's error was atrocious, but I think peoples hatred towards him is a bit much. It was a disappointing game where we squandered another opportunity to gain ground on the Cubs, but at least the Phillies are currently losing. Gotta get 'em any way we can. The offense was once again pretty pathetic. I did get a retro today though, so that was pretty sweet.
  5. I realized yesterday the Brewers are undefeated on Bobblehead days this year. Run the streak to 6-0!

  7. There's no I in team, but there sure is one in fail. That logic fails.
  8. I can't even begin to fathom the following quotes: "In a one run game you've got no margin for error. CC had gone through 7 strong innings at 106 pitches. I know that if I sent CC out he was going to finish the 8th. I wasn't going to bring anyone else in to give up his runs, if anyone else got on." "It's not fair in a one run game to bring in your closer or your 8th inning guy with guys all over the bases. It's not fair to CC, and it's not fair to him (the reliever)." Isn't that what relief pitchers are for, to relieve a pitcher who is in a situation they cannot finish themselves? And even so, if you're going to use a reliever, do you have to use the worst guy you have in your bullpen in a high leverage situation? Your rubber-armed closer has pitched 90+ games in a season, I think he might be capable of pitching 2 innings in relief. I mean seriously, I heard those quotes and instantly began laughing. It is unfathomable how stuck in his ways Ned is with his bullpen, but because 95% of managers in baseball are the same way, no one notices.
  9. Holy cow Ned is stupid. It isn't fair to bring in a relief pitcher with guys on base, especially if they are your ace starting pitchers runners? He just said in a 1 run game you have no margin for error, yet he just defended putting in Gagné by saying he would have made CC finish the 8th because he didn't want some other guy giving up CC's runs if people were on base. The stupidity in that statement is mind-blowing and laughable.
  10. Oh, and by the way, this is our second consecutive non-losing season!!
  11. http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/images/2004/05/21/aPM8fpgU.jpg The magic number shrinks!
  12. As Rock would say, the skunk is out of the box. We finally got a clutch RISP hit and won a game in this homestand.
  13. Falkenborg has the hairiest hands I have ever seen. Can we walk this off now, please?
  14. We should have a bunting/fielding refresher tomorrow after this entire week of ineptitude in every fundamental area.
  15. Please win this now. I don't want to see Rottino catching. At least we know Craig can get a bunt down. EDIT: or not.
  16. It's Brian's House baby! Thank you no more Riske. I'll take the Big Sweat at this point than ever seeing Riske in a non-blowout.
  17. Doug Melvin's failure to address our bullpen at the trade deadline may cost us dearly either in our hopes to make the playoffs, or in the playoffs.
  18. Nothing is more agitating than watching a control pitcher who can't throw strikes.
  19. Team LOB: 11. Our only 2 out RBI was from CC Sabathia. Yuck.
  20. I'm scared of who pitches now. I know it is going to be Riske.
  21. Nice! Corey bunts, hopefully Cameron drives someone in, but if not then who is the pinch hitter? Kapler? Nelson? Weeks?
  22. Provided we get out of this inning, if Prince and this team ever needed a walk off HR, this would be the game.
  23. Jason Kendall is actually being removed from the game! Mark that one on your calendars ladies and gentlemen.
  24. Kendall, Counsell, and Durham. Has there ever been a grittier 9th inning?
