Either I am missing something here, or Bill just said something stupid. They said Suppan has given up 9 earned runs in the first inning in 15 starts, and that was "not bad". 9 runs in 15 innings ... that is not "not bad". That is just bad. lol
Freddie Bynum and Luke Scott put more fear in our hearts than Morneau and Mauer do. Honestly, Stetter got the same kind of treatment after a couple wild outings, so I'd imagine Dillard will be back up at some point this season. His last two outings have been pretty brutal, though.
Keep the mojo going, boys! I noticed ESPN is actually starting to notice the Brewers. We were more than a footnote on SportsCenter and Baseball Tonight the other day.
Indeed. That is a stats skewer right there. His other starts were: 1) 5 IP, 4 hits, 2 ER, 4K (W), 2) 6 IP, 6 hits, 1 ER, 4 K (W), 3) 6 IP, 3 hits, 2 ER, 1 walk, 5 K (L). Maybe we should have pinch hit with Seth last night!
Coming into today: 4 starts, 2-2, 21.2 IP, 4.57 ERA, 21 hits, 11 runs all earned, 3 HR, 7 BB (2 intentional) 14 K, 1 HBP. Walks & strikeouts are down from when he was a reliever, ERA is up.
That made me shiver like nails on a chalk board. Me too, my friend, me too. That said, I'd still take Julian Tavarez, Mike DiFelice, and Guillermo Mota over Greg Aquino.
The more I watch this 2008 team, the more I realize last year we had a better team and a golden opportunity to make it to the playoffs, and we blew it. That hurts. Badly. Our bullpen this year makes me yearn for Chris Spurling.
http://us.st12.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/mex-grocer_2006_28077808 I saw these at a Walgreens yesterday and immediately thought of Carlos Villanueva. lol Pitch like a king, Carlos!
No, it isn't. I still have the gameday avatar from that at bat, though lolhttp://images.yuku.com/image/gif/ccb25d744893cdaec075d92525804311005fa18_t.gif. My current av is from the Braves game we lost 8-1 this season and Hart was called out on interference when someone tried to steal third.
