  1. This would be an awesome game to win. A 3-3 road trip is nothing to sneeze at, especially the way it started.
  2. Obvious answer: it isn't a save situation. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  3. I bet we see Dillard next inning since it is no longer a save situation, lol.
  4. I was forced to listen to those guys for a game during the first series in Houston, they are awful. They talked for 5 innings while Sheets was pitching about how the Brewers bullpen is garbage and as long as they don't let Sheets beat them they'd win the game. They were right that day, but it was still annoying. lol
  5. What just happened to Quintero is the feeling I get knowing Guillermo Mota is coming in with a one run lead. Ouch. Every man feels that one.
  6. You'll be too busy trying to fathom how the Cubs will end up playing even BETTER without Soriano. I really hope the 'pen doesn't choke away this lead. The Astros definitely have some negative mojo going right now, which could be really good or really bad.
  7. Ned has shown in the past he is retaliatory (see: Pujols, Albert) when one of his batters gets hit. It is obviously a guess, but Ned's a play 'em by the book guy, and the baseball book says don't plunk lest ye want to be plunked.
  8. Braun says "Beanball? I got your beanball right here!" ... Nice!
  9. Seth, you can stop acting as if you are having control problems now. Throw strikes.
  10. I'm sure it was. Seth just was trying not to get thrown out/warned this time so he was a bit more inconspicuous, LOL
  11. LOL, beanball wars. Isn't that what happened last time, too?
  12. It was. He had the head nod and just strolled to first. He also had a HR in Houston against Lidge with an exaggerated fist pump. So Tejada gets the beanball? Fair enough. lol
  13. If it were intentional, my guess is the Astros took offense to Braun's fist pump after his HR on getaway day of the last series which at that point made the score 7-1. That'd be pretty weak if they were that petty, though.
  14. The Astros picked the wrong day to bean Braun. I'm sure Seth can always say his control left him when Berkman catches one in the back later just like it did with Pujols. lol
  15. No way to McClung and Weaver over Bush. I'm not the biggest Bush fan, but he's either really really good, or really really awful. Dave doesn't have too much of a middle-ground, while the best we can hope for with Weaver is "alright" and "awful." So yeah, I'll pass.
  16. Torres has done such a great job in the closers role I almost don't want to give it back to Gagne, lol. I applaud the fact Yost did use Torres properly, even if he didn't get much else right today. Beggars can't be choosers, lol.
  17. With 3-4-5 up there is no reason to bunt there, none. I get why people do it, but I'm not a big fan of it. Meh.
  18. Yay contact play! That looks all too familiar with how we've made outs on that play.
  19. Which invariably means this cat will hit a HR because we're on the road. ... I so hope I'm kidding. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  20. I bet Ned says he didn't want to shorten the bench by putting in both Counsell and Cameron. Wait, Ned is using his closer in the 8th inning? Really? I'm confused.
  21. Yesterday it was king George, now Viz? This is like a walk down memory lane seeing all the old Brewers, lol. Great job by CV to get out of that inning. Now lets hope Mota doesn't give it up like he did Friday.
  22. McClung and Dillard/DiFelice is more appealing than Weaver/McClung, thus I'll side with taking McClung. Plus Weaver's ceiling seems to be at this point league average or worse, which is the hope for McClung who is 4+ years younger and has a much livelier arm.
  23. I just realized something fairly sad. If I were to purchase a NES or SNES on eBay, I would most assuredly play that more than my PS3. lol
  24. I felt bad that he finished last and could potentially be injured, but kind of like the Patriots losing to the Giants, I thought it was fairly epic in the fashion he lost after everyone essentially handed him the triple crown.
  25. Watching these storms on Doppler radar is fascinating. Radar has come a long way in the past 10-15 years.
