  1. I think RR has already said it's going to be another positional player.
  2. I'm betting the odds are pretty good they keep him in the rotation. He just has too good of a track record. Never know when he'll snap out of whatever funk he's in. Heard a good stat today and it reads to how bad it's been for him this year or just how good he's been in the past: he's allowed more earned runs already this year than he has in 4 of his 5 full MLB seasons. That's insane. I like the idea of trying to trade Wolf for Lincecum straight up right now:)
  3. I can see it now, walking along seeing Aaron, Fingers, Molitor, Yount,........Freeway.
  4. Bill Michaels used to be the sports guy for WTMJ, he got let go and now has a show on 1250 WSSP.
  5. Daron Sutton not returning to the D-Backs broadcasting booth: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1233793-arizona-diamondbacks-daron-sutton-not-likely-to-return-to-broadcast-booth
  6. Right now Miller Park is winning 60% to 40%. Caple=D-Bag.
  7. TH just tweeted that he thinks it'll be Thornburg.
  8. That is a GOOD thing because that means it is Thornburg coming to pitch for the CREW~! When the Brewers signed Vargas, DM said it was purely for AAA depth. Hopefully that's still the case and Vargas will make that AAA start tomorrow.
  9. RR said after the game it would be a pitcher from the minors. Yesterday Thornburg tweeted that he was promoted to AAA. That hasn't been said by the Brewers at all. Maybe they haven't announced that yet because he's coming to MKE instead of Nashville tomorrow.
  10. RR said last week that when Estrada comes back he'll be the #5. Pretty premature to make that statement. Why not leave your options open?
  11. * C Ted Simmons * 1B Cecil Cooper * 2B Rickie Weeks * SS Robin Yount * OF Ryan Braun * OF Gorman Thomas * OF Ben Oglivie * DH Jeromy Burnitz * SP Teddy Higuera * SP Ben Sheets * SP Mike Caldwell * SP Jim Slaton * SP CC Sabathia * Closer Rollie Fingers * Manager George Bamberger This was from the jsonline. They forgot to put in whoever was at 3B, but I'll assume that it was Molitor.
  12. My buddy just texted me Ueck isn't calling the game today? Anyone know where he is? Thank god the game is televised today and I don't have to listen to Block on the radio for the entire game.
  13. To me it looked like the ankle rolled to the outside when he jammed it up on the bag. It's not uncommon when that happens it chips/breaks the bottom of the fibula because of how it sets against the foot. Maybe the Brewers should just hop on the plane back to MKE after today and FF tomorrow's game to avoid another injury. Man alive, this is like the Packers defense from 2010.
  14. Hey everyone, lets stop ripping on RR because were only assuming that Gomez could have gotten to those balls. Lots of things could have happened. I mean, Gomez could have tripped, that $%+$% squirrel could have run in front of him, or heck-he could have even set himself on fire somehow! We'll never know!
  15. We can talk all we want about Kotsay starting and that his baserunning error sucked and Gomez or even Morgan probably prevent at least a couple runs in the first, but the real problem I'm seeing is that Hart and Weeks started the off-season 2 weeks ago. We need more than 2-3 guys hitting the ball. Braun, Fielder, Hairston, and even to an extent Betancourt his last couple games have been good, but that's about it at this point. Unless we get some more guy contributing it doesn't matter about our defense or even how good our pitching is, gotta score some more runs.
  16. Given what transpired, I'd humbly ask you fall asleep throughout the entire game.Goodnight! I'll talk to everyone after the game! It's kinda like 2008. I went to 11 games. They won the first one. The next 10 games I went to they lost. The odd of that happening on a 90-win team must have been astronomical. I stopped going to games in early August that year.
  17. Cripes, I fell like a chode. I fell asleep with 2 outs in the top of the inning. Woke up to find it 6-5 Brewers. I rewound to watch all of it and fastforwarded to see Yuni hit his out live. I will not sleep for the rest of the week, just in case.
  18. I'm assuming he was talking about Brandon Phillips.
  19. At Gatewayredbirds.com I like this one "Gorman Thomas has ties to Al-Qaeda".
  20. Nervous as hell. Been up since 4:30am. The fact that Yo is 5-0 agains AZ all-time scares me. Eventually they gotta get to him, hopefully it's not today.
  21. Drew Olson just tweeted he has sources that are now saying Brewers in Game 1 at 12:30, Game 2 is at 4:00
  22. There's a tweet that says Latroy Hawkins says 12:30.
  23. I just checked Stubhub and it still says TBD.
  24. TH is reporting that Reyes pulled himself out of the game after the hit. Bush league if you ask me. Braun needs to go at least 3-4 to win the batting title. That's okay, I'm sure him and Braun will talk about it next year while sitting in the dugout together at Miller Park. And if there is any player today that I believe could rise to the occasion to do this, it's Braun.
  25. Going out of town on Saturday, however once we saw STL lost, we were able to get some tix for tomorrow nights game up in terrace reserved.
