  1. Mass Haas... Please tell these guys that Rottino is not suited for the Brewers this year. I am sooo sick about hearing about him.
  2. I am in New Jersey and got the game on MLB TV. What a good effort. I am proud of how they played. Suppan was a dog though. I have said again and again that Spurling is worthless and has ERA does not show his badness. He constantly allows hard hit balls. I will be stunned if he is still on the roster in August. Once Cappy comes back-he may be sent elsewhere-like Nashville.
  3. If that makes you feel better. I went with that approach when TBow blew the Philly games, then the Braves game, and then the Cubs game. Once I understand, twice I bite my lip, three times I say I'll give them a chance although I swore I wouldn't. This one I can't let slide, but the problem is that I really have no scapegoat. Yost didn't blow it, Councenino was solid, Sheets and TBow devastating. I guess I'll have to let it slide again and blame the umps. However-if we lose tomorrow-I consider firing Yost. If we go come back .500 or under after this road trip, I definitely can him.
  4. The ump blows the call on 0-2. I guarantee he calls that in a 2-2 or 3-2 count. However, sometimes they expect a ball in that position and want to give hitter another chance. Don't get down on Cordero too much either. None of those balls were really hit hard at all. I really doubt his confidence will be hurt much.
  5. Guys... I am out of here for three weeks. Bring me back first place on June 30th. I hope I will still have something left to cheer about.
  6. This game has nothing to do with Yost, but I am sticking with what I said the other day. If we get swept-Yost should be fired! Unacceptable.
  7. Ump blew this! I never saw more punch and Judy hits!
  8. This game should be over. That 0-2 was perfect on Laird!
  9. Very nice approach by Jenkins. That is how it is done. Very professional Geoff!
  10. Too bad Estrada is not batting here.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  11. This is the Derrick Turnbow I wish I could see consistently. However, he tickles us with these outings enough to give him chance after chance. I still have little faith when he comes in, but I will tip my cap today. Let's win this snoozer so I can pack for my three week trip to New Jersey (yuck) for work.
  12. Hey guys. We are playing like garbage offensively and our Ace has done his job. I hope he comes in for the 8th. If not, and TBow blows it, heads are going to roll. However, I believe TBow can keep these guys down. Just throw strikes!
  13. By no means should Turnbow come in to start the 8th unless Sheets tells Maddux he's done.
  14. Cubs lose and Cards about to lose. Tonight is a great opportunity to get back a game. Let's get Sheets some runs.
  15. Brewers will win this game 2-1. Sheets will go 8 innings and Cordero will close. Scratch single by Counsell will will it in the 8th.
  16. I forgot to mention the big news during the big comeback. Bill Hall gets first RBI since May 23rd!
  17. That walk be JJ was huge. I know I just said that, but if these kids show a bit better approach, they can be a far better team. That is what a coaching staff and manager are for. C'mon Yost! prove me wrong tonight for doubting you for the first time! Let's go!
  18. Way to be a team player JJ! Take the walk! Big AB for Braun.
  19. That is a good point and a successor would have to come from within if they made one. Again, I am not asking for Yost to be fired yet. However, if he gets swept in this series, I believe that you have to look at it as an option. Being swept by these guys in this situation is unacceptable and these young players and veterans may react positively to a negative situation when their weaknesses are addressed by a new person in charge. Look at Kuehn, Garner, and Billy Martin. All were managers that were implemented to change the atmosphere in the clubhouse and it worked. I also do realize that it may not be the answer either. I just think this team is a lot better than what it is showing right now.
  20. Unfortunately, they have played their worst game of the year the last two games. And today was after an "off day." Again, this is the first time that I thought maybe a managing change was in order. I will not call for it yet unless they get swept by the Rangers.
  21. One thing I have noticed is that this team struggles when it is behind quite a bit (I know most teams do.). However, they have not really come back from any deficits this year except that Cubs game when they were down 4-0 early.
  22. Capellan is making me lose my credibility on here. Still think he is more valuable if we are going to make a run than Shouse or Spurling though.
  23. They are skipping Vargas in the rotation this time around.
  24. I like Capellan! Have some faith. Trust me, he will be more valuable than Spurling or Shouse when this is all said and done.
  25. I just had an epiphany. I think Weeks was batting about .260 with a .360 OBP when we were at 14 games over. Then his wrist went to pot and we slumped a bit. The slump still continues and makes me wonder Weeks value. Hmmm...
