  1. Puljos 0 for 4? Asleep again. Carlos says: HEY ALBERT, WAKE UP!
  2. How about a XXXL untuckem' shirt? Link for those who haven't seen the site: http://untuckem.com
  3. Agreed--he is a tool. And so are you if you actually believe that Pujols had that kind of a problem with Carol just celebrating. Seriously trw? You honestly believe that? I'm shocked that you are being such a homer but whatever, I am just trolling on the enemy's board to see if they have any smart fans out of bored curiosity (and there are a few) so I guess I don't have much of a right to gripe. Go take a look at the thread in the Major League forum about this. Puljos has had confrontation with so many other pitchers/teams it's quite clear he's the one who tends to instigate these things. Carlos has some culpability, but to act like he is at total fault and people on this board are idiotic homers (pretty ironic coming from a trolling Cubs fan) is patently false. Again, if you don't like what we have to say, go back to the Cubs board.
  4. There's people down here who think La Russa didn't do enough!
  5. He was never benched. Go back and look at the box scores and who the Brewers were facing at the end and early August. A ton of left-handed pitchers. Also, Hall got occasional starts against righty's up until Branyan's injury, probably because he was hitting decent for a week or so following the St. Louis series. Then as it got closer to Branyan's DL stint, Counsell and Russell were splitting time a little more, probably because Yost likes having Counsell on the field or in the lineup. I get that everyone in here HATES the idea of Counsell as the regular 3B, so do I. But the bench guys do need occasional starts, and that's what he was getting before Branyan's injury. There's zero evidence Russell was in Yost's doghouse. I have a good feeling that if he's healthy 3TO will get the majority of starts against RHP when he returns. But like Durham at 2B, let's remember Russell isn't exactly a HOF player. He's very good against righties and has a good on base. He should start more against them, but it's not like we're adding another Braun or Fielder to the lineup or a golden glove in the infield.
  6. Albert might be a tool like Fielder but Carlos clearly did more than pump his fist. He looked at Albert and said something. Nothing worse than homers who can't even state things as they happen but have to put it in a light favorable to their team. Call a spade a spade for godsakes. I may like the cubs but if we get a lucky call, I say we got a lucky call. If Zambrano acts like a fool, I say he acted like a fool. Seriously, nothing worse than homers. You are flat out wrong. Go back an look at the tape. It's clear Albert instigated the situation. P.S. If you don't like reading about Brewers fans being passionate about the Brewers, don't troll.
  7. Seriously, that's all people talked about down here on Monday and Tuesday. Even some knob TV sports foof made some production out of untucking his shirt after the Tuesday highlights when the Cards got smoked. God, I hate that team so much. I hope the Brewers make the playoffs and eliminate the Cards. If it happens, that night I'm going down to Busch Stadium with a giant Brewers flag and run around screaming, "Who's sleeping now?!?" And I'm going to wear 10 shirts, all tucked in, and jump on top of the Stan Musial statue and start untucking them one by one as I sing "Brewers, Brewers keep turning up the heat." OK, I won't actually do that. But I'll really want to.
  8. I hate the Cardinals. Time to take frustrations out on lowly Pirates.
  9. 3 1/2 game lead heading into Pittsburgh and hopefully not the umpiring crew from the Cards series. This is a good team who had one get away from them on the road (after taking the previous five games in Busch). This team isn't suddenly bad because of the loss.
  10. Even if he could have gone tonight, he doesn't have enough left in the tank to go every night. He's said as much and so has his former manager. What are the other options? Counsell? Hall? Weeks isn't a great player, but he's the best option they have on a part-time basis.
  11. I live close enough to Busch that I could actually hear the fireworks after the game. I seriously hate the Cardinals, their fans and their bush league antics. I wish the Brewers were playing them again this year. We took 10 of 15 from them anyway. Quit you're yapping St. Louis. Baseball karma is coming to get you.
  12. I hate the Cardinals. Come on Prince.
  13. You're right. It's really chapping some folks down here in StL. Apparently some sports caster took of his coat and untucked his shirt at the end of his sports cast, mocking the Brewers.
  14. Wow, just saw this too. You bring a lot of interesting insight about statistical analysis and well-reasoned opinions to this site, but you are completely and totally ignorant on how this works. If what you said were true, the Journal Sentinel would happily can TH and pay some eager 23-year-old $25,000 a year to do the job. The lineups, sure anyone could do that. But he is out front on stories like the CC trade and other things. He can be extraordinarily condescending but he is very good at the reporting aspect of his job.
  15. Three hits for Counsell. Is that enough to start worrying about the end of the world?
  16. Quite the opposite. He kept his head up long enough to finish the follow-through of his swing, then put his head down and literally sprinted towards first base. He probably could've afforded to look at it, though, since it nearly hit the back wall of the bullpen.Yeah, he did that quick, snap of the head toward the ground that he seems to do most of the time, like he's clearly trying to squash his natural inclination to watch it. I am from the "who cares?" camp about watching HRs. But I do respect the fact that most of the time he tries not to watch it.
  17. Well I guess we know where that hit-and-run with the pitcher play comes from. Nice to see it backfire on the Cards in this game, rather than the other way around.
  18. Is it just me or was the ump calling strikes on the Brewers that were balls in the Cards have. Let's hope he's more constitent the rest of the way.
  19. "We're not fans of those guys," one Cardinal said. Ugh, the feeling is mutual. I hope they pound the Cards the next two days. Plus it's my birthday today, so Mr. Sheets I request a birthday win. Thank you.
  20. Weird, weird game. But it's a win! Series wins. Just keep getting Series wins.
  21. I feel bad for whoever is plugging in the code at Miller Park today. This must be a tough game.
  22. Mr. Gagne you have my most sincere apology, and, sir, let me say this: "Well done!"
  23. Grand slam or a series of run scoring hits?
  24. Please don't lose him Eric. No more two-strike huge hits, please. Edit: Blurg!
