  1. Jenkins must still be a Brewer at heart...thanks for ending the rally, Geoff! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  2. From what I've seen, it is a little tighter than what we've seen in recent series. Then again, it just may be the styles of the two pitchers that are making it seem that way...both Moyer and Suppan nibble a lot as it is.
  3. Braun hearts LHP...1-0 Crew! Nice job of not trying to do too much with that pitch...he's really starting to come around. Of course, it helps that Jamie Moyer throws slower than some BP pitchers.
  4. Cabrera did lose a lot of weight in the offseason, but he could probably stand to lose a bit more. Of course, it's pretty unfair to compare him to how he looked when he was a 20-year old on that World Series team, too. http://d.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20080420/capt.b3ebc4a1712b49f28938f5a6ed830e61.tigers_blue_jays_baseball_cptm106.jpg http://d.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20080424/capt.d2235ad058a941c98d038134dc3883b3.rangers_tigers_baseball_dts106.jpg
  5. Krivsky would be a great pickup for any organization as a draft consultant, looking at all the talent he's built up in Cincy. I'm sure he'll find a job somewhere before the draft.
  6. How could we forget David Riske's Doug Davis-like look? http://graphics.jsonline.com/graphics/photographer/20/20229_large.jpg
  7. Another fun fact: Jamie Moyer made his Major League debut the same year Yovani Gallardo was born. He was drafted the same year Prince Fielder was born.
  8. http://d.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20080424/capt.af31e850bf4a45d8808a7d1612118961.phillies_brewers_baseball_wimg109.jpg http://images.dawgsports.com/images/admin/Samuel_L_Jackson_cool_with_gun.bmp Getting there, but not quite. Maybe in a couple weeks. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif Also, Gagne's chin-only goatee is bigger than anything Geoff Jenkins managed to grow. He almost looks like the real-life version of Mugatu from Zoolander.
  9. Good teams win some games they're not supposed to win...tonight was definitely a game that they weren't supposed to win with Hamels facing off against Bush and the Brewers having 2 available pitchers in the bullpen.
  10. As far as I know, the Reds never inked Dunn to an extension -- they just picked up a $13 million option for this year (that also activated a full no-trade clause). I could be wrong, but I feel like I would've remembered if they got a deal done since he's in line to be one of the biggest FA's on the market next winter. Not coming to terms on a long-term deal with Dunn may be part of the reason why Krivsky's being let go, too.
  11. If Rickie wasn't a bust he would've hit a HR there.
  12. The only thing that can save the Brewers now is DustyBall.
  13. I don't even remember Ned throwing CoCo or Turnbow out there 4 days in a row. I still don't know why he'd do it to Gagne.
  14. And that'd be why it's stupid to run Gagne out there for a 4th straight game. Is David Riske dead or something?
  15. Edwin Encarnacion makes Ryan Braun look like Brooks Robinson.
  16. A little bit of Dusty Baker must be seeping into Ned through osmosis in this series. Why would you run Yo back out there in his first start back?
  17. That last pitched practically rolled across the plate and was called a strike. Nice umping. Can't wait to get away from this crew in Cincinnati.
  18. That's why you don't give J.J. fastballs. Nice job beating the commercial break. :P
  19. Web gem by Yo...nice stab on the high bouncer up the middle.
  20. At this rate the game will be done in 2 hours flat...both Harang and Yo are dealing.
  21. 8 Letters, 4 L's, and another HR against the Reds. If only the Brewers could somehow hypnotize Billy into thinking every opposing pitcher was a Cincinnati Red.
  22. I just hope they don't start swinging for the fences in every AB just because they're playing in GABP. It seems like it takes until the third game of the series for them to stop trying to hit HR every time they got there.
  23. Knocked the hell out of that one. Blech. At least they got shut down by a good pitcher this time. The late inning rally is at least encouraging for tomorrow, though. One more game and they can get out of St. Louis as fast as possible. Words cannot describe how much I hate seeing the Brewers play there. Even though they've been playing like crap lately, it's important to have a little perspective. Through 14 games last year, the Brewers were also 8-6 and hadn't really gotten warmed up yet.
  24. This team seriously needs someone to chew them out Leyland-style. Anything to wake them up and get them to take a few pitches. Maybe Yost should fine anyone who takes the bat off their shoulders in their first at-bat tomorrow.
