  1. well losing to these bottom feeders is a joke and i will not be suprised losing 2-3 to the Nats this weekend. Could be worse. The Brewers could be losing 3 of 4 to Cincinnati. Now *that* would stink.
  2. They're just getting beat today. Not much they could do. Hopefully the Bucs stay this hot against the Cubs, but Chicago is equally hot.
  3. Hall's ankle is sprained...phew. Get well this weekend and over the ASB, Billy. Come back strong for the homestand.
  4. Jeez...just one of those days for Sheets. Think the rain delay got into his head a little?
  5. Oh well...got a couple back and it's only the 4th. The Brewers just need Benny to settle down.
  6. Hey, they're not going to get skunked!
  7. Ugh. Why couldn't it rain for like another hour? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  8. Mench moves to right, Jenkins subbed in for Hall and moves to left, Hart into center for those wondering what the OF looks like now.
  9. Haha...no wonder JP and Ueck couldn't say what was on his shirt on the radio. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif Edit: For those wondering, Doumit hit a HR to dead center, Hall climbed the wall thinking he had a shot at it, and when he came down, Ueck said he landed almost on his heel and looked like he rolled an ankle. Hall was able to stand up himself but needed help walking off the field. Ueck said Hall's right shoe was open, which probably means it's starting to swell already. Doesn't sound good...hopefully it's just a sprain and not a break.
  10. That would be the Reds, not the Pirates. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif The Bucs are actually in 4th, which they can pretty much thank Snell and Gorzelanny for. Edit: And now Hall is hurt trying to rob a HR. Great. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  11. Brewers go 1-2-3 in the first...Hart flew out to the warning track to lead off. At least they won't score all their runs in the first inning today.
  12. Cool. I'm getting sick of listening to the Sklaar brothers subbing for Jim Rome.
  13. It seems to me that he's trying too hard, especially when he gets two strikes against him. Once the count hits 2 strikes, it looks like he tries to do way too much with way too little. Of course, hitting 8th doesn't help -- he'll rarely see anything to hit.
  14. Anyone know what time the Brewers were scheduled to leave Pittsburgh for DC? I'd hate to see the Brewers end up getting to Washington late at night and end up coming out flat in the series opener.
  15. Ueck is saying 1:05 CT (hopefully). The Brewers can't wait around all afternoon waiting to play the game, since they need to get on a plane for DC right after the game.
  16. Sure, it'd be nice to score runs in more innings than the first, but it's not like the Brewers sat down and said "Okay, 3 runs should be enough." Snell is a very, very good pitcher. He's going to work out of jams against most teams, not just the Brewers.
  17. Oh man...Weeks almost had that one. Stupid PNC Park from Hell. Go get 'em tomorrow, Sheets. Not much the Brewers could do today with Snell pitching so well...it's a stretch to assume Vargas & Co. would be able to hold the Bucs under 3 runs.
  18. How did Freddy Sanchez make the All-Star Game instead of Ian Snell? Dude is electric, even in the 8th.
  19. Jeez...Claudio just keeps falling back to earth.
  20. Good thing the Brewers got to Snell early, because it looks like he's settling into form. Hopefully Vargas and the pen can keep this lead.
  21. Counsell's starting at SS again because JJ still has the flu, apparently. I wouldn't be surprised if Gabe's starting in CF because Hall's neck is still stiff. On the radio yesterday Ueck mentioned that Hall was nursing a stiff neck after getting jarred a bit on that second diving catch. Hopefully it's not too serious. Edit: 3-run bomb for The Hurricane, alright!
  22. Barry Bonds hit another home run tonight and I already know that it'll be SportsCenter's and BBTN's #1 play of the night. That annoys me.
  23. Well, I thought I read that the Brewers officially can't lose their lead before the All-Star break, but I still get what you're saying. Now would be a bad time to go on another losing streak. I'm just hoping today was more a result of a day game after a night game and seeing a guy they've never seen before. I think today's loss is tougher to swallow than most because it really would've been nice to get this one with Gorzelanny and Snell coming up in the last two games, but at least the Brewers have Sheets going in one of those games. Oh well...dust off and get your head in the game for tomorrow...today was only one game. Still, a Cubs loss would make me feel better.
  24. Things getting ugly. Still a few innings left, but with the way the Brewers are hitting, 6-2 is going to be hard to beat.
  25. Youman makes me want to make up words in frustration. Bumberfinkle. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
